Researching shave creams, I've heard people fondly recommend Proraso. Upon further investigation, I found C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream is private labelled by Proraso for C.O. Bigelow. Some suggest C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream is actually Proraso Red with the scent of Proraso Green. Being about the same price, I decided to purchase the C.O. Bigelow. Placing a small dollop into my shaving bowl, I was perturbed with how little lather I managed to stir up with my shave brush. However, upon applying to my face, a slick & slightly foamy lather was achieved. In no way was it foamy as the typical Barbasol, but enough for a comfortable shave. My face felt invigorated as I effortlessly glided my razor around my face. Feeling clean & fresh, I was impressed with the quality of my shave. Shaving has now become a ritual meditation, instead of a chore. The C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream is a great shaving product, which I plan to continue purchasing, perhaps possibly giving Proraso products a try to compare. Was looking for something to help me not have razor burn and lessen the red bumps I get after shaving. This works great. It is a thicker cream but doesn’t have a weird residue after use. The smell is clean and subtle. Creates a rich lather and helps to get a close shave. Skin feels smooth and moisturized after use. I’ll keep using this cream.

Premium lather buildup within minutes. Very clean shave, with eucalyptus leaving a ‘cold’ sensation. I am never using other shaving foam/cream/gel, neither I use any face wash afterwards. Ample quantity. Just take about an inch worth and it will do the magic. I can’t believe I never came across this in decades! Just remember to take your time so the cream exfoliates for a super smooth/clean shave!
