Bought as a gift. Someone had mentioned it would be nice to have a stand for it. I would agree. The width of the base isn't very wide. Hope it will be stable and not easily knocked over. Since this is a gift I haven't removed the cellophane wrapping, it is a bit shaky with the cellophane wrapping on. It also came in a box.
