iCarsoft VOL V3.0 for Volvo/Saab Diagnostic Tool with auto VIN/Quick Test/Actuation Test

I have a 2016 XC90 T6 Inscription and the only thing that worked was to clear an error message. ALL functions under the SERVICE feature do NOT work as it does not recognize a modern Volvo XC90 starting with a 2016 year model.I tried to seek the help of their technical support but after sending them the log files as they have requested, I never heard from them anymore. So I had this returned.I gave them a 2-star rating only because of how quick Amazon refunded my payment.

Unit works ok for what it is but it won't upgrade (errors) and there is no support from the vendor. It was a mistake to buy this unit. I know better now. iCarsoft does not appear to be a company that have resources to help their clients.

Tried every combination of key position, scanner sequence, everything. After much button pushing and waiting, all it find was find our VIN, but not the vehicle (?) Even when entered manually. I purchased it to look for E-parking brake codes but it just wouldn't communicate with the car. Returned.

Since this is their most advanced Volvo-specific scanner, I was surprised it would not auto ID my 2017 V60 T5 AWD Platinum. Even after I entered the VIN, it asked me to choose from a long list of cryptic engine codes which it took me awhile to find in the owners manual. I thought the VIN would have been sufficient to ID the engine. So far, I have just used it successfully to accomplish a BMS reset. Cannot comment on the other features at this point.

The unit is pretty easy to use - which is good because it appears that you will be on your own if you have questions. There needs to be more support/information available for users. Product manual needs to have a quick start or how to guide.
