Very heavy well made beautiful. I've only used it as a prop and now decoration in my salon so I don't know how well it holds an edge but I love it

This is nice for a cheapy straight blade. I ran it over a strop for like 10 passes and it shaves great. A bit bigger than I expect, it is a tight hing so yeah a little bit of a pain to open but it won't easily close on you. I'll update this if needed as i use it more and when i eventually try to resharpen it.

The item looks good for a period looking item for our play, but it arrived with the blade jammed in the sheath. Took some effort to get the blade out, and we have to be careful or it jams again. This was probably because the box was kind of smashed inside the plastic shipping bag or could be the design.

This razor is of excellent quality, but a closer inspection reveals that it requires proper stropping and refinement on a 12,000-grit honing stone before optimal use. Although it did not fully pass the hanging-hair test, it delivered a smooth and comfortable shave on my arm, demonstrating its potential once fully prepared. Overall, with proper maintenance, this razor should provide exceptional performance.
