My boyfriend is obsessed with Ferrero Rocher - he's in his 40's and I guess it's been a thing for him as a long-time milk chocolate-lover that his parents buy him a big case of the round chocolates every year. Well, this year, as I was searching for some extra chocolate options for his Christmas stocking, these bars popped up on my recommendations. I've never seen them before and assumed he hadn't either. Bought them with the intention to wrap them as a full boxed gift under the tree, BUT he accidentally opened the package upon delivery. HIS FACE! Yeah.... so they're already half gone. His parents were here for Thanksgiving and seemed pretty rattled and possibly disappointed at the discovery of these chocolate bars existing in our pantry.. especially since they showed up with his box of "regular" Ferrero Rochers as a gift (he's a November birthday baby). Whoops.I usually prefer the dark chocolate ones - he only eats milk chocolate. I'm not much of a milk chocolate person, and a whole bar of these things is way too much for me, so I'll stick to an occasional small round one. I actually prefer their dark chocolate, but I couldn't justify buying an entire box of 8 dark chocolate bars just for myself.Anyway, he says 5 stars!

I don't know if this Ferrero Rocher bar is supposed to taste or look like this but, I experienced NO PLEASURE in eating them so much to the point of me throwing them in the trash due to feeling disgusted with the taste.I am a major chocolate fanatic and the Ferrero Rocher traditional truffles are SO fun to eat and always delicious!!! I decided to try these bars thinking I would have the same delightful experience but....NO.I paid $20 for these bars and I've had to trash the majority of them. I think they were too expensive for the quality offered. They simply did not taste fresh and the texture was weird. Some bars even looked like some of the glue from the wrapper was on the chocolate. The bars broke apart easily kind of. And some of the chocolate bars had this sort of ashy grayish tint to them. Imagine that. Ashy Chocolate. To me, that indicates it's.....not fresh.I regret this purchase because of course I can't return it🙄, so $20 of my money is flushed down the toilet. Annoying.

These things are so delicious! The almond flavor comes through after the hazelnut and chocolate peak. The chocolate itself is soft and decadent. The bars arrived nicely packaged and were super fresh. Came on time and without any issues. This is my new favorite chocolate bar. It practically melts in your mouth. I typically don't like nuts at all in my chocolate. But these are ground into tiny little bits that melt away with the chocolate. You get all the flavor and none of the hard bits stuck in your teeth. My only gripe with these, is that it's next to impossible to eat just one. Stick the bar in the freezer for about 2 minutes and pour yourself an ice cold glass of milk. You'll thank me later!!

The media could not be loaded. Given all the negative reviews, particularly the ones claiming that the chocolate was "old," I was a little hesitant about buying the chocolates. I decided to take a chance and bought it anyway, and the chocolate arrived the following day. So it arrived swiftly. Fortunately, my chocolate is still within its expiration date. When I opened the delivery, I noticed that the box and the chocolates' box both had expiration dates. I opened the chocolate box, unwrapped my chocolate, broke off the top half, and tasted it. The chocolate is smooth and doesn't have a stale feel to it. Additionally, the chocolate filling is flawless and never dries out. The amount of filling isn't excessive, but it's also not too small of an amount . The chocolate indeed taste like the smaller version of the balls. If you enjoy chocolate bars, I would highly suggest them; they are delicious. Since the chocolates have 180 calories, I would be cautious about eating them every day. Please keep this in mind: although the chocolates are delicious, I can't imagine myself eating them every day due to their high calorie content per bar. That's a total of 8 bars, that would be 1440 calories.
