Tough as nails, simplified, and dependable.
Was a little surprised that the belt fabric is tough as nails nylon or equivalent, almost like seatbelt. In the color black, or for people who are more utilitarian conscious with their clothing this is fine, if not highly desirable d/o where you are on that scale. I fall somewhere between utilitarian and aesthethic minded, so I could see how getting this in brighter colors being a bit unsightly. The construction is great. The parts fit, machining, the smoothness and secure feeling of this belt are unmatched by any other belt I've worn. It feels overmade in some respects, like how appliances and yard equipment used to be. I like that feeling, so I would recommend this. I think if you're looking at this belt you're already sacrificing a bit of aesthetic for dependability anyway.Sizing seems a tad large. I got a medium as I'm a 38" at the moment (36 when more active), and there was a good 8-10in of leftover strap, but I guess that's within the range of a 42". So technically that checks out, but I could see some people being irked by this extra slack. A loop is provided to keep that in check, and once you get the belt dialed in you can use the quick release / secure buckle which is great. -- Or you can belt it up like a traditional friction/ratchet belt if you prefer. And I think this will be a boon for anyone who likes to simplify as much as they can in their life to make space for other possibilities.Overall I'd give it 8/10.

This is the best, most comfortable and well-designed belt I have ever owned.
I just received this belt but I'm so impressed with it that I just had to post a review right away. (I'll update this review if my opinion changes over time.)I just can't get over how comfortable and well-designed this belt is. But, first, apparently some people have complained that they can't get the buck through their belt loops. If so, their simply doing things wrong. You leave the two halves of the buckle connected and then run the other end through your pants loops and then stick the end in the slot of the end that isn't connected permanently to the belt, pull it snug and then snap the clamp in place. Once you have it adjusted properly, you can undo the belt instantly but pressing the buckle release. Then just snap it back together when you're done. It's incredibly fast. But here's the thing that really has me loving this belt. It's stretchy so it always retains whatever tightness you set no matter what you're doing - sitting down, etc. The stretchiness is firm so it's never too loose. To get an idea of how stretchy it is, if you grab the buckle and pull it forward, you can pull the buckle 5 or 6 inches from your stomach. But, again, it's the perfect stretchiness so it will never be too loose. You set the firmness when you pull the belt tightness to your liking and then close the buckle clamp. My waist is about 36 to 38 inches (I've been losing weight recently and haven't measured it but, no matter what weight I am, I stay within that range. So I ordered the medium length belt. That leaves about 10 to 11" of extra belt which is OK and it can be simply slid into belt loops or the sliding retainer that comes on the belt that some people may miss because it blends in with the belt. Or, you can simply cut the excess belt off and seal the ends with heat. I'm probably just gong to leave mine as is but I am so happy with this belt that I ordered a small one which, according to the product description, will still leave 6 or 7 inches of extra belt. So, just know that the belts are longer than necessary but it's not a problem. Measure your waste and compare it to the lengths listed in the product description. My medium belt would probably easily fit someone with a, say, 44" waist. As long as you leave the belt on your pants, you only have to release the buckle halves and snap them back together. Again, it's absolutely no problem to reconnect them because of the firm stretchiness of the belt material. But when removing the belt from pants or putting it on another pair of pants, you have to release the clamp, slide the belt out of the right have of the clamp and remove the belt or reverse that process when putting the belt on another pair of pants. But it's so fast and easy that it's hardly worth mentioning. The point is, once it's on your pants, you can release the belt instantly. In fact, it's faster than a traditional belt with holes. Which brings up another great benefit of this belt. That is, that there are no holes so adjustment is infinite. You'll never wish there was a hole between two existing holes and you'll never have to make new holes yourself.I'm not and wasn't obese by any means but I have a stomach like most guys (that's going down with exercise and diet) but a problem I've had for a couple years is that my pants would want to fall down, especially if I bent down. My belt wanted to slip "down hill." I see at least one other reviewer who was much heavier than me complained about the same thing and he says this belt completely eliminated that problem. Although I haven't had the belt long enough to say if it solved my problem, I have absolutely no doubt that it does due to the stretchiness of the belt. No matter how you move, the tension of the belt remains the same. That makes it the most comfortable belt I've ever owned by far. This review probably sounds like an ad but it's not. I'm just so happy with the design of this belt that I had to share my initial experiences with it. The only thing I would suggest to anyone ordering this belt is that you will probably want to order one smaller than the listing recommends. Just measure your waste and compare it to the length of the belt listed. If available, you should probably order a belt that's 4 or 5 inches longer than your waist measurement. But, if the one you order is too long, it's no problem because you can just tuck the excess into to slider that comes with the belt and your pants loops. Or, if you like, simply trim it to the length you want but, if you do, seal the ends with heat. Rather than flame, I would suggest heating up a knife or similar object and rubbing it along the cut end of the belt.I should mention something else for those that carry concealed. That is that, although this is referred to as a "tactical" belt, I wouldn't recommend it for concealed carry. It might work with an inside the waistband holster and a lighter handgun because much of the support in that case, comes from the pants. But, in general, belts used for concealed carry should be stiff and without flexibility to support a firearm. In fact, many gun belts have steel linings for that purpose. One more thing, my son tells me that he had a similar belt when he was in the Marines and he loved it.

Don't bother with $60 groove belts and just get these
Starting off this is a very nice belt for anything from well just as a belt to edc.. I literally have 6 of these all in different jeans or cargos. If you are buying this as a carry belt... it's NOT made as a serious carry belt nomatter what they advertise it just isnt stiff enough, its simply a fast adjusting, just a bit stretchy, cobra buckle style belt for easy on easy out and tacticool points.Although it is not made as serious carry belt, YOU CAN use it as one... within reason. If you intend to carry a lightweight sub compact its fine I carry a p365xl and spare mag all day long on mine and it's alot more comfortable than my stiff webbing 3x the price carry belts. These belts have abit of stretch built into them for comfort "its very nice to have and very comfortable especially if you appendixcarry" I wouldn't recommend it for full size or steel frames however as it will just sag or twist. Tried it with a heavy first gen p229 .40 and it was "okay" but just too bouncey for lack of better description.Avoid the knockoffs, they literally all look exactly the same and give you the idea of oh i bet that $10 one was made in the same factory and just a different label, no I've tried a few brands on amazon and either the pins in the hinge falls out or the webbing is just absolutely wafer thin no stretch junk. These are about 2.5mm thick those knockoffs were about 1mm.. the only other brand that cost less, literally looks feels and even packaged the same on Amazon is Bestkee

Good value for money
I needed a new belt and decided to give this one a try instead of the cheaper leather belts I'd always worn out quickly. It was easy to cut the excess length (about 6 inches more than I needed) and singe the cut with a lighter so it doesn't fray. Nice to wear with a tool belt/holster or without. I have not noticed it loosening at all during wear. Others have mentioned the buckle has to be removed to take belt off of pants, but that wasn't been a big deal to me. The quick release is nice to use when going to the john, but not having to worry about your tool pouch pulling the loose end out of your pants belt loop. Only con so far after a couple months of daily wear is the sharp release points on the buckle will dig into my gut, especially when sitting if not wearing a tucked shirt. And I may have a few extra pounds but not excessively.

Excellent Belt
The media could not be loaded. Bought the medium 36"-42" (49" length) black belt even though I am have a 33-35" waist. I was thinking I could always cut it to length. I realized that I like the way I can put the excess through the first two belt loops on my right side, keeping it nice and tidy, and out of the way.My waist seems to expand and contract throughout the day so I thought this belt would be ideal for me with its quick adjustment mechanism. I was right and it has paid itself off in aces. For example, in the morning my waist is the slimmest. After a meal like lunch, my waist expands and I can adjust the belt quite easily. When I drive, the quick release is great so my belly doesn't feel the pressure of the belt. I always have the right pressure keeping my pants up throughout the day!The locking mechanism is very good as well. The clasp is "U-shaped" and evenly distributes the pressure so that the belt material will not rip due to a sharp "scissor-like" locking part. The belt is a bit stiff so it does require a bit of oomph to close it, but you'll get used to it.Opening the mechanism is a bit though. You need some finger nails to get under the flap and then pull with a bit of force. I did find a better way to open it. If you put your fingers under the belt part and push up on the flap, it will undo the clasp enough to comfortably put a couple of fingers under it to unlock it.The belt material has some elasticity to it. I uploaded a video showing this. It's hard to tell from the photos so I decided to take a video of it to make it clear. The elasticity is strong so the material does feel secure and will not loosen unduly (i.e. it doesn't feel like your pants are going to fall down at any time). Some reviewers said that it was a small hassle to undo the belt to move it from one pair of pants to another. I found that it wasn't a problem at all. The fact that the two buckle parts do not easily slip through the belt loops is a bonus for me. I don't know how many times my leather belts would slip off the belt loops and fall to the floor when I hung up my pants on hooks - a real annoyance. After using a lot of different belts that each have unique locking mechanisms, this one is the best of all. I can confidently say that this is the best belt design I have seen and it suits my needs perfectly. I highly recommend this belt due to its design and quality materials. Give it a try!
