Awesome!
This is an awesome book. I am a fan. Liked new style of writing. Most of the times, we read some book from the perspective of just one character and story revolves around that character. Even though this is a story of Shri Ram Chandra, this book tells you that story with Sita as a central character. Most of the events are from 1st book of Ram Chandra series but the way Sita's point of view reveals some surprising things which makes story more and more interesting than I expected it to be!

Good story even if the writing is a bit rough.
It was a good book, but a bit hard to read...I read an article about Amish and how he was taking ancient stories and recreating them in a modern novel format. It was intriguing enough that I purchased this book. (I didn't know that this was the second in the series, but it wasn't necessary to read the preceding book.)The story itself is interesting and has enough imagery to place you firmly in ancient India. That being said, I had a hard time with the actual writing style. I thought that the book had been translated, which would account for much of the jarring style and language choices, but I didn't see a credit for a translator. The beginning of the book has many fragmented sentences and whole paragraphs are written with sentences with 5 or 6 words each. It felt like I was reading a "See Jane Run" learn-to-read book. But I sat back, took a breath, and pretended that I was hearing an oral story instead of reading it. But if you are an English/grammar buff, it would drive you bananas and you may want to skip it.The writing style matured throughout the book but every once in a while there would be a strange word choice such as "jacked up" which broke the setting.Even though I'm complaining about the writing, I still enjoyed the story itself. I'm not tempted to read any of the other books in the series, but I'm glad I purchased this one and gave it a chance.

I loved it! Fact and fiction all in one
I loved it! Fact and fiction all in one. Good writing and easy to understand. I learned a lot and it kept me interested all the way thru. I would wake up in the morning and say to myself. ... I wonder what Sita is doing today!

Good Read
After reading Ram, Sita felt very repetitive as the events overlap. Read the book not keeping the great epic in mind and you will not be disappointed. The Ramachandra series did not stand-up to the standards of The Shiva Trilogy. A good read nonetheless.

Wow!! what a great twist
Amish is a fabulous writer. He takes mythology as we know it, spins it on it's head and keeps you totally engrossed. I love the fact that he can make these stories relevant to current social and political situation. Cannot wait for the other 2 in the series

A very good read
I have not read any of Amish's other works and my more well read friends warned me that this book may not be best one to start reading his works. I gravitated towards this book because I am from Mithila, the land of Sita. I realized quickly enough into my reading that this book merits reading solely on its thriller quotient. The resemblance to the mythology is limited to the names of the characters. I soon started to enjoy the book and the alternative reading of the mythology that Amish offers. The concept of the Avatar is lucidly explained and probably more true than mythical. I would encourage everyone to give this book a chance. It certainly made me interested enough to go find more about mithila and Sita.

Good read
I'm fan of Amish since the shiva's trilogy and have been waiting for Sita since I knew it was coming. Excellent book with creative fictitious story with mythological references to kee you enthralled throughout. Waiting for ravan and the next book in the series.

Good read
The book is a modern and an interesting rendition of Ramayana. It kept me vested throughout and is a compelling read. The book like it's first part discusses the various social problems of the Indian society. couple of reasons why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 are the naivety of the characters in certain situations and because of the hyperlink story telling method sections of the book are repeated from the first part and if you like me, read the first part only a short time before the second, would find the repetitions to be a bit weary. But overall a good book.

Bom livro
O livro é interessante e divertido.Acho que o emocional dos personagens poderia ser melhor explorado em alguns trechos mas valeu a leitura.
