FRAM Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, CF11810 for Jeep / Fiat Vehicles

I bought the FRAM filter (for my 2014 Fiat 500L) after the atp one as I was swayed by the "Arm & Hammer" and similar price, but jeez was I disappointed. This filter is downright terrible. It's hard to install - I had to crease the flaps 3 times to get it to insert all the way and it flakes off carbon material just by shaking it. Versus the far superios atp filter, it has ~8 fewer pleats, weighs half as much, and you can see TONS of sunlight coming though (the atp filter blocks light through). I can't imagine this filters very well. Anyway, the atp is the only cabin filter I'll be buying from now on. The atp would last far more than a year/12k mi, even with the dirt roads around my house and is the same price!

This is not a reflection on the filter or the seller here, but that you nearly have to disassemble the dash to replace a cabin air filter is such a bad design. Search for replacement instructions videos and you will see that this is designed to be a labor intensive job for a shop to charge you lots of money. It is not a job that most cannot do with about 30 minutes of time, but a consumable should not required so much work to access. Simply put, you have to disassemble the passenger side of the dash to remove the glove box to get to the cabin air filter box and replace the filter. But otherwise this is the right filter at a good price.

Easy to install, gets the job done. But I can’t really smell anything in particular though.
