Simple and sturdy!
My husband and I recently purchased a house and the renovations were amazing but the closets were a blank slate with no rods or shelving. We have been debating getting a closet installed but haven't been able to lock in on a layout or type of closet we want to install. The closet is long and skinny with 8 ft ceilings and slate flooring. I ordered this system in hopes that it would solve our short term needs and so far I have been very happy. The included instructions are slightly confusing (I am used to IKEA instructions!) but once you figure out the overall idea things move pretty fast. The poles were easy to stabilize and did not leave any marks or scuffs on my ceiling despite me moving them about 6 times to get the right placement. The trick on the cross bar clamps is to slide ALL the ones you THINK you might need BEFORE you put the poles in place since adding them later isn't possible. Also, I read some reviews of people saying the clamps holding the cross bars slide down frequently on them...This happened to me after I filled a rack so I made sure the clamps were as tights as I could get them and then got my husband to go and tighten then some more. I do think the weight these racks can hold varies on your setup. Our cross bars aren't extended to their max length and have held up to the t-shirts, sweaters, jackets, and other clothing we have on them. These are also great because they are removable so if you are a renter and want to jazz up a closet or space, these are the ones to use. They don't look cheap at all and are very sturdy.

It's okay
My previous closet rack fell unexpectedly. So I needed a rack fast. Did some research and decided on this one. It's a good rack but since my closet doesn't have high ceilings (my closet ceiling is 4 ft. 7 in.) I lost a lot of rack space. I couldn't use all the vertical poles. I only used the short steel pipe and the steel pipe with holes.I received two broken plastic caps that go on the horizontal poles. The transverse bar supporting nodes that go at the top and middle pole racks are lose when you put them on. You can't use all the space at the top of the racks (see pic). To fix this I pushed the supporting nodes to the top of the rack and used a wire hanger and tied it a round the pole. Then I used black electrical tape to secure (see pic). The basket took some time trying to figure out how to put it on. It was very frustrating. All and all, I like it. It's feels good not to have to put any more holes in the wall. Plus this rack gives me more space in the clost than my previous rack.

Good system over all
I like the fact that i can put this together in whichever figuration i need, but it bothers me that i can't get extra bars or clamps at all. If they are going to offer a customizable system, they need to offer a way to purchase extra pieces so you are able to do what you want. Also have to make sure the clamps are as tight as you can get them, because with too much weight they slide down..

Five Stars
Love it. Tricky to get up but not as tricky as having to attach hardware to walls.

Great idea but frustrating.
Item cannot be configured as shown. The directions were horrible. I returned it and built my own for half the price.
