Kid's Book to Welcome a New Baby: Fun For a Big Brother or Big Sister

I bought this book for my 5 year old and she loves it! We had a great time doing the "pre-baby" activities and she can hardly wait for the baby to come so that she can finish the other activities that are about the baby. Be sure to get this book well before the baby arrives, since the first 3 chapters are based on preparing the child for the new sibling. Based on the amount of journaling, experiments, and projects, I would recommend this book for 5 year olds and older. For younger children, I would recommend My New Baby and Me, also availble at Amazon.

This book is very cute. My issue with it is that it's definitely written for the young kids (about 5-6) but has a lot of writing activities that are for an older kid. I will have to read it to my 5 year old and write some of it down for him. I don't think an older kid will necessarily enjoy the way it is written. Also, since it is written for a young age some color will be nice.

This book can be started during the pregnancy. I waited until birth. Wish I had gotten earlier. It is cute and will give the older sibling something to do.

I purchased this for my 11 year old when we found out we were expecting baby #2. This book is for much younger soon-to-be siblings. It's cute but was not appropriate for his age.

I specifically picked this book because reviews of another book said the other book was outdated. Well this one is too. It repeatedly says over and over Mom and Dad. There's also no option for multiples.

Daughter does like the book, but was hoping for more reading material. Its a lot of fill in the blanks stuff.

Purchase for any who have children over 7 and would like for them to be involved with the arrival of a new baby in the home. The book turned out better than expected.

someone i knew mention her daughter was having trouble thinking about no longer being the only child. i went through and chose a few books including this one. feednack i got was great. her daughter used it and enjoyed it.
