Q: hi, is this item made of rigid plastic or does it feel like rubber? Thank you.

It’s not as soft as rubber but not rigid plastic. My disabled daughter who uses it chews the handle so it has the odd tooth marks on it, but I like it because the edges are wide enough and soft so her teeth don’t touch the actual screen. She once bit through another cover straight into the ipad

My daughter is also severely autistic, she managed to destroy a Griffin survivor cover and bit into the screen. We changed to these covers, when she looses it she will smash it on her head and body, it’s ok for that but because she chews everything this cover has wide softish edges she bites into the plastic. Got two now one for each pad for about 2 years and they are the best so far
