A shockingly awesome product
My sweet rescue has nipped at me trying to trim his nails since our first vet visit (he actually let me prior to that). I’ve had to take him to get his nails done, but just haven’t been happy with them getting them short enough, which is important because he came with extra long nails and they need to be trimmed as short as possible each time so that the pink starts shrinking back. His posture was changing all of a sudden and I read that can happen from too long of nails. Enter me trying this sling…The only con: My pup knows that something is up before I ever even begin the task, so my lap dog was all of a sudden an avoiding dog who was hard to catch to even start the attempt to get him into the sling. Treats worked some. Once actually in my arms, it was a beast trying to get him into it because he wiggled around and was snipping like crazy (he is an absolutely wonderful non-snipping dog 99.9% of the time). I finally wrangled his front legs in and pulled the front hanging part tight, then was able to do the back a little more easily. I hung the sling with him from the bathroom curtain rod (he is about 13/14lbs). I was worried that the face part wouldn’t cover far enough forward to protect me from snipping, but I quickly learned that didn’t matter.Pro: A miracle. I cannot believe this worked. While he wiggled a couple times to try to get out, I tried what another video showed and rocked him a little. This had him subdued more than I’ve ever seen. Eerily so. He hung there. I gave him a treat at the beginning, then he wouldn’t take any. I talked to him and soothed him to let him know he was safe, and got to work. He did shake a tiny bit from being a little scared, understandably, but not very much. I not only used the clips pretty easily that came with the sling, but the used my nail sander after on each one. Even my hand near his face he didn’t snip. I then also was able to put balm on all of his needed areas for it. Then I lifted him off with the sling, he very calmly stepped out, I gave him some treats, and then he was back to his sweet self. Quickly cuddled up to me with his tail wagging. He didn’t even do the stress/just woke up/get the nerves out body shake that dogs do; which tells me it wasn’t stressful to get over.I hope that he can realize that this makes him feel better and it gets easier to put him in the sling because this is definitely what I am going to use from now on. And I apologize for no picture, but I wasn’t sure how it would go and wanted to be as quick and safe as possible.

Good for Small Pet Grooming
I use this for my cat because she is tiny at 8/9 lbs!! She was very squirmy while I cut her nails and she unfortunately can pop out of this contraption and will not simply hang because it doesn't actually close on top so i had to hug her tightly while cutting her nails to keep her secure. But the quality is very soft and it was an easy tool to put together and set up. Too bad my cat just really hates having her nails cut!

Works perfect for a 5lb., senior Chihuahua. Wish I'd bought this years ago!

If you have a spicy dog during spa day, this is for you!
This thing is amazing. We have a spicy little weenie dog that HATES her nails to be cut. She is not a biter until you touch the feets. She can still somewhat get to us when we have her up in this thing, but not nearly as easy. I usually hold her still as my husband clips the nails. She still screams during it, but her nails get cut. Even if she acts dramatic for days afterwards. I can use it alone on my older more calm weenie dog who doesn't care what we do to her. I've only done it a couple of times with this with her as she is a good girl and will sit and let me clip her nails anywhere.

dont think it is very safe
my yorkie mix struggles when i clip her nails. decided to try this. the problem is, she still struggles and i am not quite sure she will stay in this, so i put it away. should have sent it back, but have other things to concentrate on. if you have a dog that will stay still then this would work. as for me i am not chancing of her falling out and i cant catch her in time

Best $15 I ever spent.
The media could not be loaded. My min pin is a little devil to cut his nails. He is the sweetest dog, but when you try to cut his nails or touch his feet in general, he turns into a crazy dog, and even tries to nip a little, which is totally unlike him he never ever bites. I have struggled with either not being able to get to the groomer to get them cut regularly, the catastrophe of trying to do it myself, and just the cost of taking him in general. I wish I had this year’s ago, and with my previous dog as well.!!! A total game changer. As soon as I hung them up in the shower, he knew he had been gotten. He was totally limber and did not even try to struggle because he knew that he was helpless lol it’s the quickest I’ve ever caught his nails. They were done in two minutes, and I even got to do the dewclaws ( usually by the time I get the others done I say f**k it out of frustration) so they usually don’t get done every time. AND I even use the file to file them down.. the groomer never does as good of a job filing as I would like, and when I have tried to do it once again, it’s too hard to even cut them. By the time I get done with all the nails it’s a mutual feeling between my dog and I that we are done and then a sharp nails usually cut my legs when he jumps up to get my attention. On so many levels this has brought relief it worked so well! The only thing that I will say compared to other ones that I saw online, if your dog is a squirmer, you may want to get those little clips for keychains and put it between the loops and the part that hangs up top. It didn’t seem as secure as other contraptions but once again, I had no trouble he would really have to flail to get them off and since his legs are swinging in the air, it’s basically impossible once you get them suspended for them to get out of it, or to rock the boat enough to get the hanging loops off from the hooks. Overall an amazing product I recommend to anyone. I was glad I chose the fleece over the other ones because he seemed to slink into it. The other ones look Stiff. Once I put them in this, he seem to farm fit into it like a marsupial in a pouch. LOL AND THERE WAS DEFINITELY SOME LAUGHS. I COULD NOT HELP BUT FALL APART WATCHING HIM DANGLE THERE RIDICULOUSLY!
