Yes it is gold color, but , it is not shinny.

Q: Do you need anything else besides gold leaf? Glue? I’m covering those Cheap plastic electric wall plugs with it.

Yes you need a special glue... just search “gold leaf glue” it’s cheap.

There are several videos from a custom painter that show how to hand turn gold leaf, for a machined look. I cannot remember his name, but had been custom painting for 30+years.
