2 Foot (22.625") Pure UV T5 Fluorescent Grow Light Bulb

Bulb itself puts out alot of uvb. Now you will hear a small rattle inside the tube but that is nothing to worry about. It's the metal inside that has to react when turned on. Very good bulb.

It must be noted these are grow lights meant for plants and the use of UV on persons CAN CAUSE HARM to skin and eyes. The seller intends for anyone getting this to have common sense and use this product as directed only.With that noted, I am very pleased to have gotten this insanely powerful UV lamp. In humans, UV radiation (sunlight) makes one tan and also produces vitamin D. The UVA rays make one tan but the benefit to health comes from UVB which makes vitamin D.With a UV light this intense, from this lamp, the general standard is that about 6 minutes of exposure on skin (chest and back are optimal) may produce about 800-1000 IUs of vitamin D for an adult. That is amazing and you don't need more then 5-10 minutes and you are done. Always, ALWAYS, wear eye protection and use this at your own risk. Too much UV can cause harm.It is noted that in the old USSR coal miners were mandated by law to get UVB treatments daily and this was also the case for navy submarine crews around the world. Again, use caution with this application but if you use UV light to aide in vitamin D production this lamp is the best on the market. I also supplement with D2 and D3 (pills) but sunlight or UVB lamps are better overall if used with safety protocols. UVB also treats some skin conditions and other health issues but seek advice from medical professionals about those uses.The tube was packaged very carefully and fits the 2' T5 standard housing I got online for $20. All is great with the service, seller makes and ships these for this Amazon listing, and this light is very solid quality. This will last for years since even for use with gardening or growing needs these are on just a few hours a day or less. For vitamin D needs, just less then 10 minutes three times a week is all which it will get used for. A great value for the money for how long this lasts.This can also work for benefiting plants, keeping reptiles healthy and other basic UV light needs except for UV curing which might need other solutions for exact needs since UVA works better to cure items like plastic.This is not a basic UV lamp and is NOT for tanning. This is however the top UVB tube on the market for a great price.

Added the agromax pure uv 24" to complement my hlg 320 xl rig in a 4x2 tent. Hung at 22" above canopy and ran for 4 x 15min cycles smack in the middle of my lights on period. Toasted a few leaves at 18" so be careful. Trichome production exploded and buds are dripping in resin after use as seen in my picture. It's currently drying and havent had a chance to sample to test potency but visual is top notch. I placed it in an all metal t5 ho fixture as painted or plastic will absorb the uv Ray's. Best bang for buck in my opinion over fancy overpriced colorful labled liquid nute bloom boosters. Get one, you wont regret it.

These UV bulbs are no joke. They work awesome and my plants love them but be very careful they will burn anything in a 2-ft radius. I use them as a supplementary light source for about 4-5 hours a day at about 3ft away from the canopy with great results. Highly recommended for any indoor growers.

Indoor plants don't get UV light like the sun provides outdoor, this supplements that.Must be with a timer that can come on at specific programmed intervals like a wifi smart plug, to avoid burning plants with excess UV.

Ordered two bulbs. One fits fine and works properly. The other is a few millimeters short and pins will not make contact properly. So therefore it is worthless. Paid as much in shipping as the bulbs cost. Lets hope HTG makes this right. I will update this review if they make good.

I like the lights, although you have to be careful with the distance they are from your plants. I would estimate a starting distance would be minimum of 2 feet. I started mine at about that distance, but I was running 15 min on 15 min off. The time ended up being to much, and burned a little. I kept the distance the same and moved the time to 15 min on, 30 min off. That seems to be working much better. It'll give you a place to start anyway. Good luck!
