Wow, wow, wow! Like a vacation for your face.Best facial cold pack I have tried to date. It is flexible when frozen. The plastic covering is heavy duty and not likely to crack or leak (big problem with other masks). You can move the beads to any place in the mask, there are no blocked areas that will not get cold (frequent issue with other masks). When it is fully frozen, you can put it on your skin without getting frostbite. It stays cold 15-20 mins. The gel beads are superior to plain solid gel, this is why it retains flexibility when frozen. Retains the cold much longer than clay beads do (which I prefer for heat).This mask covers the entire face, even on my husband whose face is fairly large. Elastic and velcro bands that hold it on your head are generous in width and length, actually keeps it secure. Downside of the velcro is that is is VERY STRONG and can tangle in your hair if you use the open ends to adjust it in the middle behind your head. Therefore you can opt to either remove the straps and not use them, or you can make sure that you keep the sticky end of the velcro (about 3 inches long) covered by the other strap, and only adjust the mask using the end of the strap that is connected to the mask by your temple where you are less likely to snag your hair.I do not use plastic gels packs as hot packs, so I canʻt comment on how these perform for heat. Plastic gel packs are much more likely to rupture when heated, they get hot spots and can easily burn you. All plastics are fat soluble (they are made from oil/petroleum) and because of this when you heat them then lay them on your skin, plastic molecules leach out of the pack and into your skin, ultimately entering your blood stream. Since the human body did not evolve to consume plastic (we donʻt have the necessary enzymes), plastics we are exposed to in the modern world are essentially toxins and poisonous. Studies show that Americans pee out immense amounts of plastic molecules every day, and some of these compounds have been found to promote disease. A gel pack that is frozen is more inert and much less likely to leach out plastic molecules. If you want a hot pack, chose a clay bead or a grain bag style hot pack, your body will thank you.It does smell mildly of plastic when it is new. I wash it with soap and warm water after every use to remove bacteria and skin cells. This seems to have removed the plastic smell after a few washes. I would guess it smells more like plastic when heated, like I said we have not heated it so I am not sure if this is true. If plastic smell is a deal breaker for you or you need a hot pack, try a clay bead or grain bag hot pack with a fabric cover instead. The Vivi Relax-a-Back clay bead scarf is a good product, and large enough to wrap around the face (or neck). However it is not shaped like your face (I donʻt know of a clay bead face mask on Amazon -- if anyone finds one, please let me know). And remember that clay beads and grain bags do not get as cold or stay cold as long as the gels, so Iʻm recommending this option if you want a hot pack.Speaking from experience, I would say donʻt waste your money on other brands. This is the best face mask on Amazon. It deserves more than five stars.

I bought this mask for the beauty benefits :) love it, exactly what I wanted. Glad that it never actually freezes! Just gets really cold but not cold enough to where it's painful. And the straps are very thick and adjustable to any size. Great to de-puff your face and wake you up in the morning.

Most annoying feature of this mask is the odd placement of the attached Velcro to keep secured to your face. It is place at the bottom half of the mask, below the ears. It should be attached in the middle or slightly above. The mask slips around and doesn’t allow for an even distribution amongst your face.I purchased mainly for sinus headaches and the forehead tension. It usually helps to have slight compression along those areas and this annoyance does not allow it.Also, the need for frequent adjustments is not pleasant.

I read quite a bit of reviews on this product and other similar products before I decided on this one. I made purchase and received promptly. I used it three times so far on different days.I read some comments that it is larger and heavier than expected. Well it is. but not many mentioned that it is also stiff. it can not be snuggled on my face due to the stiffness. I had to lie down, press it and hold it with both my hands. my intention is to buy an ice mask that is hands-free and also allows me to do my house chores. it is a failure on that regards. but it does provide cooling to areas of my face the mask was pressed to. for the price, it's not worth to go through the hassle of returning. I will use it, only when I have time to lie down and tie my hands on this thing for 20 minutes. what an inconvenience.

I purchased this to use after Hot Yoga classes to directly cool down my sensitive skin, and for whenever I have a random episode of flushing from Rosacea.Pros: easy to use, not too stiff, forms pretty comfortable around the contours of the face, removable and adjustable Velcro strap.Cons: DOESN’T STAY COLD for long! It warms too quickly in contact with body heat, making it less effective for what I need. The coldness only lasts about 15-25 minutes sitting on my face, it starts turning purple again as the beads warm up. I may need a second one in my freezer, at the ready to switch out part way through my cooling session tbh. Lastly, the nose area is totally cut out, with no flaps to rest over the bridge or sides; so the nose gets no cooling action.Overall? Good idea, good concept, could meet a need, but insufficient execution.

Does not stay cold, feels very heavy on tender face, does not conform to face at all, the Velcro got wicked stuck in my hair and I had to call the front desk to get someone to help me get it out. Nightmare. Use frozen peas or a wet washcloth you've chilled in freezer

I bought this as I get sinus headaches and migraines. It mostly does the job. It stays cool & stays flexible when frozen. I didn’t give it 5 stars because when you heat it, it stays warm for a good amount of time, but it gets a weird smell & the beads from the forehead part tend to fall to the bottom unless you lay totally flat (and even sometimes then). I have used many of their hot/cold packs and this is the only one that does that really when hot. Not super helpful when your headaches are above your eyes! Also, it didn’t provide as much relief as I thought it would around my eyes. I think I would have rather bought the eye mask one. Overall, it’s fine, but not my fav.

I keep mine in the freezer because of frequent headaches. If you buy this, keep it in a baggie because the wetness from the freezer is unwelcome trickling down one's neck.Like others made out of this substance, It's too hard when taken out of the freezer, and too cold, then it warms up and is perfect for awhile. Then it warms up too much in about 30. I have better luck with home sewn bags of rice.

The face mask was for my rosacea, it was fine for the first few times I used it and then it burst with a few holes, I didn’t know until the stuff inside leaked out on my face I had to throw it, this is a issue that needs to be resolved or it shouldn’t be sold as a ICE face mask that you can use and again and again. It’s wrong, they are taking ppls money knowing by the reviews that it tares and becomes defective. there is a ice roller for £9 that works amazing for my face. I don’t normally write reviews but think this definitely needs attention.

I really liked the idea of this mask, I thought it would be ideal for post Botox/filler which I suffer bruising from. Unfortunately the strap is positioned very low and even when adjusted as small as possible it still slips down because it’s positioned more on the back of my neck than my head. It’s still possible to use when reclined but I bought this especially and paid more than a normal gel mask for the convienience of being able to wear it around the house all the time covering my full face, as it is I have to remove it when I stand up or it slips down. Aside from this it appears to be a good quality item but I wouldn’t buy it again.

I want to love this mask, as it feels lovely on to cool my eczema face flares, however I just can't relax when using it due to the poor velcro fastening. It's attached too far down so doesn't hold the mask securely to your face, and just slips down...Only way to use it, is lying down holding in place. A shame really as otherwise, it's a nice product.

This recent purchase has been an absolute godsend in this heatwave. Best thing ever for Cooling you down. The gel pearls in it means it doesn't fully freeze, but its 'ice cold' apparently great for skin. It has adjustable Velcro straps, and can just pop it back it freezer again to cool again easily. I haven't used the warm way yet, because it's too warm at the moment but very happy with it.

Bought this for after my double jaw surgery works a treat and does help, it does feel clostraphobic especialy as you cant breathe very well and your face is all numb. But the product does help with the healing and some of the discomfort when i first got out i froze the mask for the swelling which felt amazing and then aboit week later would heat it in microwave for healing
