Best starting spray gun
I bought mine with the ops adapter and I sprayed my 1990 Honda prelude my vw gti bumper and my Audi R8 front bumper and the fan Pat her was larger enough and it lasted the metallic gray down perfect I would say it’s a good gun to start out with I let my friend spray his Mazda and he said that it was easy to use I eve have the 1.8 and 1.4 guns this one is good even with the 1.3 tip I would goo but it I love it I was going to buy a tekna now I’m going to stick with the I iwata w-400

Highly Recommend this Gun
I’m a newb when it comes to auto painting so I was struggling to get a good finish; however, that being said, I was using cheap guns - 3 different ones on the same vehicle- meaning first time and 2 redos. That’s a lot of work and a lot of paint; however, my anal retentive nature, I mean my craftsman-like tenancies, would not allow me to accept a poor quality of the finish. At this point, I need all the help I can get.As soon as I pulled the trigger and laid the first coat of clear I realized that although I’m a newb the POS guns I was using was a major contributor to my struggles. Holy cow...the atomization of the paint with this gun was superior and therefore the finish that I was able to lay was superior - it was flat and smooth!!I’m a weekend warrior and didn’t want to spend the money on a higher end gun. As is said, ya’ get what you pay for...between the time I spent on the redos and the cost of the paint for the redos I would have been way ahead of the game if I had just purchased a quality gun from the beginning.Love the gun and highly recommend it - it made all the difference and it makes me look like I know what I’m doing. Good value for the money.

Fast N Easy
Best gun ever! I am the painter for a restoration shop and have many of spray guns but this is my go to clear gun for glassed out finishes. Man can she do the job. Even compared to theDV1 and LS400 witch I both own W400 is superb. It’s a fast and effortless spray gun IMO

Dependable reasonably priced
Exactly what I ordered, received faster than expected. and the Third Iwata Ballaria 400 Classic I own.I’ve used many different brands, and maybe there “are” better spray guns that would suit my needs more efficiently.I just haven’t found the need to spend more money trying to find it, when Iwata does what it advertises every time I reach for it.Keep it clean, don’t throw it around... Jobs Always looks like polished glass!

This gun is the deal Holyfield, better than lph400 honestly.
I was very skeptical on buying this gun because of the price. Didn’t pull the trigger until after 3 months of asking myself is it worth the $200 and some change to just try it out. Well I finally bought it and used it right away to spray some cars. Sprayed solvent paint, both metallic and solids and it blew my mind away. Also tested it out with clear and it layed down so nice. It’s almost like somewhere in the middle of an lph400 and the supernova in my opinion. For under $250, I’d say yes, I’ll get another one strictly for clearcoats and keep this one for basecoats and sealers. Don’t wait 3 months like me, the price keeps on going up so just do it!

Damaged gun and authenticity concerns
I was super excited to get this as I NEED it for work being an automotive painter. As soon as I saw it was delivered and I picked it up, it seemed as though the contents were extremely loosely packed. I opened Amazon’s box and I was surprised to see a box that iwata usually doesn’t pack their guns in. Also, the box the gun came in did not have a seal for authenticity which was concerning in itself. The gun came with a nozzle removal tool and brush, as well as a plastic cup and lid. The gun itself is damaged, the gun body close to the air cap is nicked up. And then the air cap itself is heavily nicked up. Overall, I’m very disappointed. I was really looking forward to using this gun considering all the raving reviews, but the damage is super concerning. Not at all the quality one would expect for making a purchase of over $500.

Not an authentic Iwata.
Professional collision painter. This would have been my 5th Iwata, so I do know the product well. I just opened the box so I have yet to use it, but I'm very skeptical that this is an authentic Iwata. Dont let the sticker fool you. There is an engraving on the gun that I've never seen on any Iwata. Additionally, it didnt come with the Iwata multitool that pretty much comes with every gun from any brand. And to top it off the air cap isnt polished. It's right from the mold with machined air horns, and a pressed in brass center, which iwata does on some models. I've never seen an iwata without a polished air cap, though. $200 is dirt cheap for even a used Iwata so not totally bummed out but I'll still be reaching out to Iwata to verify its authenticity for my own curiosity. If it is a repop it is well made and machined incredibly well, so that good. Just not the air cap.. I almost want it to be fake from the looks of the air cap.
