I'm going to hold onto my hope with the help of this journal!Parents should be aware that mild curse words appear in the quotes (doesn't offend me, but thought I'd mention it!).

I love the quote/writing on each left-side page. It's a more personal type of journal. If you are into needing more space to write a ton, this may not be for you as every other page is taken up with a quote. But I bought my first one in person, at a store, I knew what I was getting before I bought my second one here on Amazon. It's my journal to cheer me up which is how the makers kind of intended it to be. And they even include a built-in bookmark! Which I love! The price is the only thing I dislike but I imagine it costs this much due to all the color printing involved for all the left-sided pages. Overall, pretty cool journal for those that like to rate their days and need an inspriational, if not funny, quote to help them get through the day.

This book is perfect. I bought books like this for all my kids to keep and fill out throughout the new year but my son is an sarcastic, unimpressed 16 year old so this book is perfect. At the top of every page it says, "Why I am grateful today, more or less." on the bottom of the page it has a happiness scale and on the opposite page it has a quote ranging from silly to inspirational. I plan to have all my kids write in their journals once a week and I think this will be great for my son.

I got this for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. My daughter was going through some difficult times trying to figure out who she was and where she fit in. I bought this for her to journal in and she loved all the inspirational quotes inside. She loved reading the quotes while she was writing and she said it helped her to think of things to write when she felt writers block. Some of the quotes made her laugh when she read them which helped her want to continue to both read what was already in her journal and to keep writing her own stories as well.She wrote in it pretty consistently for 3-4 months but has not been quite as faithful about it lately. But hey, what can we really expect from a 15 year old? When I asked her what she though of the journal she said she really liked it and that it made writing in a journal more fun than she thought it would be. She said she needs to go back and write in it again and that she looked forward to reading the quotes.The quotes are fun and makes writing in a journal more interesting, and if nothing else it gives you something to think about as you write. I would definitely recommend buying this.

This was a gift, and people liked it so much, there were actual attempts to barter other gifts for it. The recipient loved it so much, she wouldn't let it go, despite some offers that would have sorely tempted me.The quotes ranged from Katy Perry and Cheryl Strayed to Deepak Chopra and Virginia Woolf. There were even quotes from Oprah Winfrey, Walt Whitman, Ayn Rand, and Homer Simpson. Poetry, lyrics, and snippets of prose running the gamut from hilarious to poignant, inspiring to absurd, and delightfully narcissistic to lovingly self-aware.I didn't write in it, but the paper feels like the kind that is gel-pen friendly.

I had initially bought their full size. And loved is. Then saw this, their mini version, and thought it was a great idea. Fair warning to everyone - it does contain the same quotes as the large size. So nothing new inside. Just a smaller size. However, I like being able to journal at a moments notice and having these quotes to carry around with me. A unique item that would make a great gift. For me? I gifted it to myself. Haha.

I love this journal. It's a bit smaller than expected, but that helps take the pressure off of doing 1 page a day. The quotes are perfect, too. They're not fluffy "life is wonderful" quotes, they're more about recognizing how shadows can help you recognize and appreciate light. I've been using it for about 2 weeks and it really is a great tool for helping shift the mindset to gratitude.

This is a brilliant, little (A5) journal which I ended up buying a few times to also give to friends. In this 24/7 busy culture we live in more and more people are getting anxious, overwhelmed & depressed. This journal encourages you to write about your feelings but more importantly, to identify what you can ‘HOPE’ in today. By focusing on hope & assuming you can always find SOMEthing to hang your hope on, it encourages writers to ‘see the good’ and believe everything really is going to be okay!

It's hugely overpriced for what you get. Also it came without anything around it to protect it in the package during transit so looks second hand. There was also a sticky ugly label on the back which cannot be removed without damaging the cover so unable to give it as a gift which is was why it was purchased.

I love the simple set out and great quality of this journal, my only suggestion would be to rephrase 160 pages as there are only 80 pages that can be written on. Every other page is taken by a full page quote. Nevertheless I love it.

Utterly wonderful for a notepad, the whole rage is funny and clever (their post-its are very witty too). Beautiful quality, would make a lovely present.They quotes inside are stimulating and inspiring. If you are a stationary fan, you will not be disappointed.

I was given this as a present myself and loved it so bought for a friends Christmas. She loves it too. Inspirational.
