Great for thermostat wire
HVAC Tech. I’ve had these for 2 months and I love them. Perfect for the 20/22 AWG thermostat wire I deal with. The action is smooth and they strip wire extremely well. I’ve read some reviews where people say the nut in the middle comes loose. Personally, I’ve used them everyday and never had this issue. Really nice little pair of wire strippers. Definitely worth the money.

Great tool, weak cutters
This tool is great, strips wire extremely well and is very small.though it did chip the very first time I cut wire with it.It also only has printed wire gauge instead of being stamped in the item and it is only on one side, which may be a drawback for some.I would give it five stars if the cutter did not chip on the very first time of use.

Love these, but sometimes the center nut comes a little loose.
I am absolutely head over heels for the Engineer Crimping Tools. Prior to buying those, I never knew just how nice a crimper could be. Maybe I had always just had crappy crimpers before, but those things knocked my socks off. They were like going from unregulated cheap soldering irons and hit-or-miss solder to a temperature regulated iron and Kester 44. Really, I adored them.So you can imagine I also expected a lot from these wire strippers. I mean, there are other good ones on Amazon for half this price. However, given my experience with the crimp-tool, I went ahead and sprung for these. Having the best tools is always worth it.Pros:The dies are bang on. They strip well. The fit is tight (the finish is wearing evenly off the blades where they rub against each other).Matches the other Engineer tool in the toolbox.Con:The nut/bolt in the center comes loose sometimes and I have to tighten it. When it gets loose, the dies BANG INTO each other instead of lining up smoothly. I'm afraid that this is going to dull the tool faster than I would like.I would really prefer for that issue to not be there in a pair of wire cutters that costs about twice as much as other good quality alternatives.Would I buy them again? Maybe. It's not a surefire thing. I like them, and I still believe Engineer is making good quality stuff. It's just not the Rolex / Heckler & Koch / Toyota Land Cruiser type of uber-quality I was hoping for based on price/reviews and previous experience with the company. I am still probably going to buy one other of their tools when I need it, maybe a diagonal cutter.

Effortless
These will be used professionally for security system installation/integration, troubleshooting and repair. So far, they've proven to be reliable and sharp. The size is just right for my pocket. The latch is a nice feature and easy to manipulate. So far, they are the best I've had.

These are great for smaller wires
Buttery smooth action, nice compact size, and a great feel. Are these the absolute best? I dunno. But I like them more than the other 4 pairs I have.

Amazing quality
These are the best wire strippers that I've ever used. I have been doing electronics for 45 years and have used many wire strippers. The hole size is critical - to small and the conductor is nicked, too large, and there's not a clean cut of the insulation. Even name-brand tools are often just punched out in China. These are precise, feel good in the hand and do a really great job.Over time, all tools will dull, you can count on me replacing these in about 10 years with another pair!

Quality and Precision.
These wire strippers are precision ground and very sharp. No more yanking the insulation from wires and damaging the conductor in the process.I have tried lots of wire strippers across a wide spectrum of pricing and these are probably the best value ones I've used. They can handle 22 gauge wire upwards (16 gauge max, I think) and are great for the professional and hobbyist alike in electronics or electrical installation. There's a handy thumb operated catch to lock them in a safe closed position as they are lightly spring loaded to aid use. They are made from hardened steel and have comfortable textured rubberised handle grips with hanging holes at the ends of the handles. Due to the design it's possible to use them to strip very short lengths of insulation which would be impossible using automatic wire strippers due to design limitations. Great value for a quality product.

The best treat an electronics tech can get themselves
I've used a lot of cheapass wire strippers in the past, these are not cheap ... but they're worth it a thousand times over. From the thickest power wires to the smallest component jumpers these have made short work of them all. I liked them so much I bought a second set with a slightly overlapping set of sizes so I could tackle everything.A+ purchase, huge recc.

Best Yet
These wire strippers just look quality. The grinding of the cutting edge is perfect , producing a razor sharp edge for a clean cut through the outer sleeving. I used them on my cloth covered guitar wiring and they are without doubt the best I've used. Usually I really struggle to get a good clean edge after stripping back, but not today.
