This hard white wheat is the best!
This wheat is clean, been using it for over 20 years! They do not spray, so even if grown on a field that is not yet “certified“ organic, be assured it is organically grown. This makes wonderful bread, fresh ground, no white flour needed, all the nutrition of red wheat, but lighter in texture, flavor & color. I make it every Sunday morning to greet the visitors at my church. 😊 They all want to know what my recipe is! Just fresh ground wheat, filtered water, pink salt & yeast! I weigh out 500 gm lumps of the dough, roll them flat and fry on medium low like a big pancake in a little olive oil. Turn once when golden brown. To die for! 😄 It’s the fresh ground white wheat that makes it!! Makes wonderful sourdough & raisin bread, too! Store in fridge if there’s any left the second day! Enjoy, & God bless! 🍞🙏

Absolutely the best wheat berry there is!
One of the problems with whole wheat is it can have a very "earthy" flavor and be coarse and tough. This wheat berry was specifically created to provide a flavor closer to degermed white flout which is not healthy. I "sprout" and dehydrate these. Once you see a "nub"--usually in about 6 hours after soaking is finished start the dehydrating process--you don't want it to sprout too long because it changes the chemical makeup of the wheat berry whereby the wheat used for bread will leave it soggy in the middle regardless of how long you cook it.

Great quality product
Just a fantastic grain. I have even made 100% WW loaves and they have never disappointed. More expensive than the competition, but certainly better on quality. I have been using the Palouse Brand and Great River Soft White berries since 2012, but in the order of rankings, here is my opinion.Great River - Really poor quality. I have found things that look like mouse feces. Not sure if they really are. But would rather avoid this productPalouse Brand - Better product, but grains still have chaff unseparatedMontana Gold - Best in terms of quality of grain and flour it produces

The best grain!
I’ve tried grains from other growers. This grain is the absolute best. The quality is wonderful. The taste is delicious. I’ve now also ordered their hard red wheat that they sell. I’m so glad that I’ve found them and gave them a try.
