Maxonar [1Ft] Thunderbolt 4 Cable, Short Thunderbolt Cable 40Gbps with 240W Charging and 8K/5K@60Hz Compatible with Thunderbolt 4/3, USB4, and USB C

This is a sturdy cable, does not feel flimsy or cheap. Works well. I am using it to connect an Audio Interface to my computer and works great. No lag in data or audio.

I purchased the first (4 foot) of these to connect a PCI Thunderbolt enclosure. It worked great, and the cable is of nice quality (flexible and looks good). Needed another thunderbolt cable to connect a 4K thunderbolt monitor and purchased the 6.6 foot version. Also worked great, and the third is another 6.6 for a thunderbolt monitor. None of these applications flex the cable so I cannot really speak to durability, but if I needed another, I would hit buy again. Seems to be a quality cable at a very fair price.

Needed an extra charging cable and charger for my MBP 16" 2019. Bought a 100+watt charger and this Maxonar 6.6ft USB4 cable. Cable is great so far. The new charger with this cable is able to charge at same speed as the Apple 96watt charger and cable. Cable is able to deliver the ~100watts of power from the charger.Overall cable is thicker than the original apple USB-C cable and seems more robust in its build.

There isn't a lot to say about cables other than that they work or not. This cable works perfectly, and has a good covering over the cable to keep it safe from kinks, or crushing. The terminations are solid and they fit snugly in the receptacles. I have had no problems with this cable disconnecting, even though I am using it on a laptop that I move around a lot.

This cable is working well to connect 4K monitor with my MacBook Pro. It's got a nice braided design and feels like a high quality product.

Purchased this back in July 2021 - as I required a longer cable to work with my Thunderbolt 4 Hub. (Using a Caldigit Element Hub on 2021 M1 iMac).Just noticed in Mac OS System Preferences that my hub is being reported as a USB3.1 device. When the original Caldigit cable is used, it is reported correctly as a Thunderbolt 4 Hub.This cable is complete and utter rubbish - and worthless. Actually, it's a misrepresentation as it's not a Thunderbolt 4 cable at all.DO NOT BUY!! (Cannot submit this review without giving at least one star - but make no mistake... THIS IS A NO STAR PRODUCT!!)

I've got 2 1440p monitors and a mouse connected via a StarTech TB3 dock to a MacBook Pro. I bought the 2m cable to replace the dock's very short one. With this cable the monitors turn black for a very short time randomly. It can be anywhere from a few seconds to half hour between these happening, but they happen no matter what. It does seem to be a bit better if rotating the connector in the laptop, even though it should be fully reversible.I know this is an active cable and having read the Thunderbolt specifications, I figured the length would have something to do with it so I ordered an identical 1.2m cable. Sure enough with this one the problem is gone.Thunderbolt 4 should be able to take a lot more than what I'm doing but the 2m cable isn't capable of handling it.

I had bought the Thunderbolt 3 version of this Maxonar cable and was very pleased. That gave me the confidence to go for this one. The cable is well made and feels robust; it's a quality item and comes with a neat cable tie so that you can store it away and avoid getting it tangled. I've recently bought one of the 2021 MacBook Pros with the M1 chip and I can confirm it charges properly through my 4K Samsung screen and the picture is crystal clear. I've had no issues whatsoever and would certainly buy another. I'm still using the Thunderbolt 3 cable from Maxonar with a Thunderbolt Hub on my 2020 iMac and it's firing on all cylinders. All and all very pleased and would highly recommend these. I should mention that a nice touch on this version is the inclusion of a number 4 on the cable end so you don't mix cables up and know what's what.

I have been a long time user of Maxonar Thunderbolt cables. Always impeccable quality. I recently bought this 1.2m Thunderbolt 4 cable as I wanted to have a minimal desktop set up. This wire does 3 functionalities. It supports data transfer at speeds up to 40Gbps, supports power till 100W (for charging) and act as a replacement of HDMI cable especially if your laptop has type C (for charging and data sharing). So I charge my laptop through my monitor and my laptop can share all the content on my monitor through this wire too. Helps in creating a minimal desktop. Highly recommend.
