Follow the damn directions
Ive been distilling with this product for 2 years now . Follow the directions people. Ive used it with both sugar and dextrose and everytime it makes me a crystal clear sugar wash thats at least 46 proof . I run it through a reflux column and get about 2 and 1/2 gallons of 130/140 proof from it ( i stop cooking once it gets below 100 proof) . Its sweet , and its powerful . I use 2 of these packets and make a 13 wash , and i just ordered 4 more of them to make a 25 gallon wash . I should get over 5 gallons of 130/140 proof from that . Great stuff .

does what it claims, CAN'T COMPLAIN.
did not use clearing agent, befor run thru still, left slight woody taste (from carbon ?) didn't bother me or mine at all. and still cleaned up just fine, given enough of this my still would be hot twice a week ! (only have 2 fermentation vats)
A**.
23% has never happened for me.
So I have bought like 5 or 6 packages of turbo yeast to use just the yeast. 23% is a pipe dream if I've ever heard one. Everytime I use it, I get like 7 to 10% and then it quits, no matter what the OG was. Sometimes, the target ABC was like 10% and it still quit. But I will say the things that worked the least1. Pressure Fermenting: I tried to ferment in a keg. It didnt even start. Dont even bother.2. High ABV: It does not continue to ferment, no matter the amount of stirring or the temperature. I have not been able to get a double digit ABV to fully ferment. If it does ferment to 10% or maybe 12%, It leave about 8% worth of sugar in the wort. I do not consider 8% worth of sugar to be drinkable even for a dessert wine.3. Fermenting out of temperature range: Usually, with a low temp or high temp range you can target certain flavors and make the yeast bend a little. The usual range for yeast is like 65 to 95. Turbo yeast range is like 75 to 85. And once it stops, it does not come back. For 20 bucks a pack, I would have thought it was a bad rap with one. Maybe Amazon has some packs that have been sitting on shelves for a while. But its just so unpredictable and none of my batches have ever come close to what their marketing claims.

Beware
Turbo yeast is tricky. My experience is, and continues to be that the rapid results produces a poor product with questionable odd flavors. I’m giving up on anything that suggests to speed up a fermentation process or produce more alcohol. Just not worth it.
