Bayou Classic 7499 Bacon Press Flattens Bacon for Cooking Perfection Ideal for Pressing Hamburgers Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Quesadillas

Great product but the only negative is that it is not wide enough and will not cover more than about 3 pieces of bacon. Not a problem if you are single, but if you want to make enough bacon for more than one person, you have to keep moving it around. I will probably have to buy a second one. One observation that I would like to make is that I notice many people complain about rust. These people obviously have never worked with cast iron. I have never had a problem with any of my cast iron products. You have to put a dab of oil on these after you wash them people.

Best bacon press I've ever had. Great weight and size ..... covers 3 strips of bacon completely. Gotta watch your hand, as the metal gets hot, but I have large hands and it was still easy enough for me to avoid that problem. Only reason for giving less than five stars is the handle is recessed from the edge about 1-1/4", so when I store it "standing up", it leans at a severe angle. I solved the problem by cutting a small block of wood, drilled a hole in it, epoxied a magnet in the hole and used it for a removable stand. I love this thing!

I've used this quite a few times now, & it works great with burgers, steak, etc. So glad I finally got this. Didn't know what I had been missing.

It is large for a normal fry pan but I was aware . Good weight. Smooth bottom and not the grid most have on here which makes it easier to clean.

My granddaughter asked for a weight for cooking hamburgers, etc on the grill and I found this cast iron press which seemed like a good size. Some of the others appeared good but they seemed too small to be able to cook burgers. Shewas pleased with the gift. As usual, it was delivered on time and well wrapped.

Bought it for someone else and they still got it. Hasn't fallen apart and I'm sure it does the thing with gravity and all.

I like how it helps my steaks cook the same all over.

Bought as a gift for my sister. She really likes it. Can be used for more than bacon because of the size.

I use it for smash burgers, I just put some wax paper in-between the metal and the beef works perfectly.
