I don't know why this isn't sold with the can itself, as they could be attached together in probably the same box. Still, this item is well made, reasonably solid, and I suspect will last for quite some time. I used a marker to label the lid and put clear mailing tape over it to protect it from the elements. I had been using a larger trash can, but rarely came close to filling it, but since the garbage hauler charges less for the smaller can, I purchased this set, for the payback was about 6 months. Initially, I ordered the rolling base, but that wasn't needed, for the can - even filled - is light enough and I can put it on a pull cart if I wish, while a separate roller would be subject to theft while its cost would considerably extend the payback

It fits our trash can perfectly. It’s not a flimsy low quality lid. I’ll never worry about replacing trash can lids again. It’s annoying when the can fills with water or snow. And odor prevention in the heat it paramount. I’m glad I found this online. Noone seems to keep them in stock for regular shopping.

Fits my 20 gallon rough neck trash can. Lid is made of a tough but durable plastic and does seal very well to my can.

Haven't had it long enough to know if it'll last through the garbage collectors' abuse, but I did manage to tether it to my garbage can's handle. Lid is too big; it seems sturdy (I didn't exactly jump up and down on it); and I'm thinking it'll last at least 3 years (maybe)? Who knows, really not worth much time spent on reviewing.

These lids a solid and will last for a long time.

Was looking for a way to cut down on the flies and squirrels. The town’s recycling trash can, although no extra charge, comes without a lid. This fit perfectly!

For years I've been trying to duct tape my old garbage can lid together. My garbage can was perfectly fine but due to rough handling by the collectors, the lid had broken down. I refused to buy a whole new trash can with lid just because mine were abused. I'd searched a few other times but couldn't find a replacement, until now. Initially I ordered the wrong size but the return was very easy and the 2nd size I tried fit. As an environmentalist, I'm so thankful that I didn't have to needlessly produce more trash by having to buy a can and lid.

It’s not rubber. Despite the name it is made of thin plastic. Not worth the money. I cannot recommend this lid.
