Despite the drawbacks, I believe this radio is a steal for what I paid. Listen, if you've never replaced a head unit before or don't understand basic input/output on electronics...this is probably not for you. There is a bit of an assumption that you know what you're doing as the instructions are virtually non-existent. I'm an 11 year IT professional and have replaced a head unit in the past....even I had some trial-and-error in getting this thing working but once everything is done it is absolutely worth the money. There are some things that aren't perfect - two of my steering wheel controls are reversed despite using the CAN 15 setting (I'm in a 2015 JKU Sahara). The resolution isn't quite high enough for a display of this size so you will notice a little pixelation but that's nitpicking a bit. This thing sounds GREAT.Here's the bottom line - my Jeep has the factory Alpine system and was paired with the woefully awful 430N Uconnect head unit. To buy just the wiring harness and adapters needed to replace this with a different head unit it would have been $100-120 on Crutchfield. Add on the price of a head unit with carplay and we're easily pushing $300+, in addition to the extra work of having to splice wires and such. For a little over $200 this thing was plug-and-play, has Carplay, looks and sounds great, and is WAYYYY better than using that pathetic 430N with my iPhone.Also, for the record, this is not a solicited review - the only paper that came in the box was a crude pin-out diagram. I don't usually write these but I felt compelled to write something given some of the negative reviews. If you know what you're doing and like me have other costly plans for your Jeep and want to save some $$$ where you can, look no further.I'm still in the first week of install - will try to update this if anything changes my mind.

Only issue is that there’s no auto brightness sensor so at night stay bright until you dim it manually.

Did not last 60 days after install. When installed, all functions worked as advertised. Just stopped working, dead. Got no help or responce from Hizpo and just a waist of money. Would give zero stars if possible.

The quality for the money is pretty good. At the start. I see a lot of reviews say it takes a while to start up, i personally havent experienced that. The screen is responsive and the picture is great. The interface is user friendly. BUT here we are less than 5 months from installing it and the thing has a mind of its own. It had be working absolutely fine and one day it just started malfunctioning like crazy. From opening random apps, the touch screen not responding, the steering controls not working, shutting itself off completely all on its own and completely out of the blue. And the installation is garbage. The installation is simple enough but there is no instructions at all. You basically have to figure everything out for yourself. And if you're unfamiliar with wiring it can be infuriating. Bottom line: do not buy. The low price tag is very tempting but you get less than you pay for. Save up a bit longer and buy a brand name model. Dont cheap out with this junk.
