Hypoallergenic Dog Shampoo, Fragrance Free, Allergen Free For Sensitive Skin Natural Dog Shampoo Aloe Vera & Provitamin B5 for Itchy Skin Puppy 500ml

I bought this shampoo because I wanted something for our recently retired greyhounds dry flaky skin. He is getting supplements, which help, but I wanted to treat it from the outside too. The shampoo is unscented (which is why I scored it highly as our dogs haven’t gone and rolled in anything to get rid of a shampoo scent!) and goes on easily, does it’s job and washes out easily (fab, hate finding the dogs for what feels like forever). Our greyhounds skin definitely benefitted and wow does he shine now! Much to her disgust our little lurcher then also had a bath (the princess hates soap!). Her fur is soft anyway but she is now super soft. You dilute the shampoo and we haven’t used much at all doing both dogs. I’m a fan and the princess has almost forgiven me 😂

Cleans well and leaves a fresh scent

It was a little bit of an adventure figuring out the right way to do this - where to put the diluted mixture, how much is needed etc. In the end we made a small bowl of lukewarm water with roughly 25 ml of the shampoo diluted with 250 ml of water. The shampoo created a luxurious lather when gently rubbing it into our dogs fur. It spread nicely with very little effort, reached through the layers of hair until the bottom coat and skin without generous scrubbing. However, it didn't do an amazing job at getting stains out of our dogs fur. We had some mud caked on the legs and the shampoo did very little to attack the offender. It took multiple rinses, applications of shampoo and more rinses. Which was a little frustrating especially for a pup who does not enjoy going in the bath in the first place. As the shampoo is hypo allergenic, it does not have any perfume and therefor no scent. Which makes perfect sense, but it does mean that you end up with a dog that has a little bit of that 'wet dog smell' when you are done showering. I would consider that one of the other downsides of this product. We followed our bathing routine up with a doggy deodorizer to make sure we didn't have the house smell like pup. Admittedly though I'd rather have a lovely, cruelty free and gentle shampoo like this one, making sure my dog doesn't get irritated, itchy skin, then one that is full of perfumes.

Great shampoo. My old lab loves it and his fur is super fluffy and shiny. Good sized bottle which should last a good while. Smells fab.

This is a good shampoo for dogs, i have a french bulldog that needs washing fortnightly so this 500 ml bottle i would expect to last several months as i used around 30-50ml per wash. Priced at £9.99 is quite expensive for dog shampoo as i use regular sensitive shower gel which is much cheaper in comparison. However this shampoo does seem gentle but effective. It is a natural formula and is unscented. Lathers up well and rinses out very easily. The dog does suffer from a bit of itching and dry skin/dandruff and i didn’t see much improvement from using this shampoo, i got an effective clean so this stuff seems good enough to me.

This item arrived quickly. The bottle is well advertised and not overly busy design wise. There is a slight smell of the oats, aloe Vera and perhaps a hint of Tea Tree, unless my nose deceives me. The dogs were thick with dirt from their walks and wrestling in the back garden, covered in pollen from these activities. They were keen to smell the new shampoo and seemed very relaxed and happy when I was applying it and massaging it into their mix of hair and fur. Their coats are fluffy and soft, clean and my female canine I has dermatitis which seems a little better since using this. I used marigolds to wash them, as I have hypersensitive skin allergies that are quite serious. So expose your skin to this with caution. You do not need alot of this liquid to get the desired bubbly effect. Takes a while to rinse off and out of longer hair / fur / combination coats. Towel dry and then air dry. The hair dryer made them smell strange after they had been washed with this. Good for wet combing fleas and ticks out of coats. My female was bitten a few times after going after the hedgehogs and her skin was sore. Skin is now healing a few dates after.
