Medical school grade book
My granddaughter is wanting to be a pathologist. She loves looking in microscopes. She is fascinated with pathology. I purchased this book to indulge her curiosity about pathology. My Son, a MD. Laughed and told me it was the same book he used in Medical School.(only updated)

The book to purchase to learn Pathology
This is the book to purchase while studying pathology during medical school. It explains pathological concepts, and related topics such as embryology and biochemistry) in a detailed manner. At the same time this book manages to be concise enough so that you can read while completing other course work during medical school. Having on-line access to this book on Student Consult is convenient so that you do not have to carry the book around with you all the time. I recommend this book over the larger version of this book for the average medical student.

Great
Has a little more detail than you need in med school, but not so much that it's overwhelming like the thicker Robbins book. It's a good balance and pretty easy to read with lots of helpful pictures.

Good study aid
This book is very helpful in the understanding of basic histology and pathological progression. There are several good illustrations and the section reviews offer a thorough summary to aid for recall. A good bedside read.

Good content in book, poor quality book
Good way to learn path. The quality of the book that I got was not great.

Good for learning pathology, bad for Step 1 prep
This book has a lot of images and a lot of details, which is great if you want to learn pathology in-depth. Yes, there is a more detailed companion book by the same authors, but this volume--and it is a volume--is much too detailed for your Step 1 preparations. Goljan is a much better fit.

perfect
book arrived super soon, it was in perfect condition, definitely a great deal. I really recommend this vendor, I am very satisfied with the purchase. This book is also an excellent choice for first year med pathology, much more carriable than Robinns full size and also conveniently summarized

... at medical schools where the instructors' explanations aren't the best. By the 8th edition
Essential for medical students at medical schools where the instructors' explanations aren't the best. By the 8th edition, the authors have this stuff down.
