So meant to be read!
One of my absolute favorite reads from last year was Meghan Quinn's A Not So Meet Cute. So, when the author announced that she had a book for JP Cane and Kelsey Gardner, aka siblings of Hux and Lottie, respectively, from the aforementioned 2021 fave, well, I was as giddy as one could be. So Not Meant to Be is an enemies-to-lovers romance, although I think it would be fare to say that the "enemies" part was more on Kelsey's end than JP's, even if the guy made pushing her buttons seem like he was born to do it. While JP and Kelsey's story can be read independently of Hux and Lottie's, I'm seriously recommending you check the latter out, which shouldn't be much of a surprise since I'd just been saying how much I loved that darn book.JP Cane doesn't think that men and women can be friends and still work together. That shouldn't really be a problem since Kelsey Gardner doesn't think of him as a friend. She does, however, think JP's full of himself and too much of everything else. Too talkative, too handsome, and knows all too well how to get under her skin. To make matters worse, she know has to stay in the same penthouse as him for an extended period of time. So, not only do they work together, they now live together as well. Now, he's added being too flirty to the mix. While Kelsey may disagree about the whole being friends and working thing, she's positive that sleeping AND working together is a no-go. But that shouldn't be a problem since that'll never happen. Right?Ooh, but how JP gave Hux a run for his money as my favorite Meghan Quinn male main character. The Cane brothers are certainly a cut above the rest! I absolutely adored JP. If you check "swoon-worthy" in the dictionary, I wouldn't be surprised if it had him there as an example. Now, when it comes to Kelsey, I confess that it took a while for me to not just warm up to her, but also to deem her worthy of my, erm, our Jonah. Their back and forth was entertaining, but then when it comes to banter, Quinn knows her stuff. I laughed out loud more than once, and there were times where my heart ached for JP. Yep, I know, I know, but what can I say? I'm a wee bit--WHOLLY--hungover on all things JP, which is why So Not Meant to Be receives five stars!

so cute!
This was such a funny book. I couldn’t put it down. All you do is root for Kelsey and JP. I the only complaint was that Kelsey was annoying at times. It went a little overboard with her insecurities. But like any good romance it’s what you want. The spice was good it didn’t disappoint.

Stop w the drawings
The book (and the others in the series) are just fine. A little long winded, but I’d recommend the writing. But please stop with the drawings. If I want pictures, I’ll watch a movie. Get those out of your books. They just interrupted the story. If you can’t tell the story without pictures, change your words.

Super cute. Funny. Predictable but a cute light read that I enjoyed and I will be reading the next one.

Laugh out loud
This book is feel good and hilarious. Meghan Quinn’s books always have me laughing out loud. I love that some of the other characters from her other stories make an appearance in this book. The witty banter and sweetness of JP and Kelsey is wonderful. A fun read!

loving this series!
This was such a sweet story of friendship into romance. Kelsey’s character brings up a lot of insecurities, which I also felt when I was younger. JP lifts her up, and they both help each other realize that they are only better together…and so MEANT to be!

Amazing read. Never laughed so hard reading a book
So captivating! It was perfect and a breath of fresh air. JP is hot, funny, charismatic and so relatable in his insecurities. It makes him human and fun. Kelsey is a little annoying, yet funny and lovable.I cried laughed with the drunken polar bear/pigeon donation. LolSimply amazing read. Could 've been spicier, but it is so much fun to see the development of the characters, that it doesn't take anything from the experience.

El libro #1 a diferencia es divinooooo , chistoso al punto reír en voz alta , romántico un poco, súper sexy … pensé que este libro el #2 sería algo parecido , pero NOOOOOO

A Cute Read
JP and Kelsey were characters in "A Not So Meet Cute". They are two "co-workers" who are very attracted to each other but don't get along. When they are forced to travel together for work - sparks fly. While I did really enjoy the book and it had me laughing ALOT I didn't love Kelsey. She frustrated the heck out of me and I couldn't relate to her at all. JP is so freaking sweet but she overlooks what's right in front of her. This is a fun easy summer read and I definitely still recommend it!

Rom com perfection
So surprised by how much I loved this. I did enjoy A Not So Meet Cute, but this was rom com perfection. JP enjoys flirting with Kelsey but she is not interested - they’re colleagues and he’s her future brother in law. However, it becomes impossible to ignore their attraction. This is the perfect mix of cute, funny and spicy. To be honest - JP and the pigeons equals comedy gold. I found Kelsey to be a such a likeable FMC and I really felt for her and her insecurities. Very much looking forward to the next in the series now. The little excerpts from Kelsey’s podcast interviewing couples from Meghan Quinn’s previous books is such a treat for longtime readers. What to expect:- lols- enemies to lovers- friends to lovers- forced proximity- he falls first- very spicy

Sympathique
J'ai bien aimé être lecture mais malheureusement je n’ai pas autant rigolé que pour le premier tome de cette série. De plus je trouve le personnage de Kelsey très différent dans ce tome que dans le précédent.
