Removes perfume from the air
If you have fragrance sensitivities, this air purifier is worth it! I have been sick ever since moving in with a roommate who wears perfume. After a couple of days of running this, I am feeling much better. This is worth it for my health, and it works as advertised to remove fragrance from the air. I'm glad I took the plunge and bought this. Just wanted to leave this review in case anyone else suffers from a similar condition.

It is worth it!
Love this! I call it my hospital grade or my industrial grade air purifier. It works very well. You can barely hear it on the low setting. You can hear it on the high setting. Either way I am confident even on the low setting that it’s the best air purifier around. I have this in my basement and plan on getting the smaller ones for each of my bedrooms in my home. It is worth the price!

Great air filtration!
I’ve been reacting to normal amounts of environmental mold with a lot of inflammation and brain fog. Since I purchased this air purifier to run in my home office, I’ve been sleeping better, my inflammatory markers are slowly coming down and the brain fog is lifting. The low setting is fairly quiet, not that different from a fan on low speed and it does notinterfere with video calls. The high setting is very noisy and I cannot run the high speed setting if I have calls planned. This air purifier did a great job of eliminating the smell in our home after some repairs that required indoor welding that was very fumey.

Great purchase
Comes ready to use.A little on the heavier side but works great as you can definitely tell the difference. Air blowing out at times feels almost like air conditioning to me which is nice. Not extremely cold but better than a typical fan.

Love Austin Air but QC is lost.
I have multiple Austin air throughout my house. I’ve always been very happy with their products even before Covid. They used to have the big ones and the smaller ones are great for smaller rooms and bigger rooms. We decided to buy another one post Covid and they have a limited selection of colors and size. But the biggest issue is the quality control. The universe full of dust so I wasn’t even cleaned prior to packing. The buttons were like glued on and lose. Even their brand sticker was coming off. For the price I expect a better shipment and better quality control. I ended up shipping her back and vine a Dyson air purifier cold and cold has a HEPA filter. It’s not an Austin but serves its purposes and it was better qualityFYI if you buy from Amazon you have to deal with Austin for a return and you’re at their mercy

They Don't Build 'em Like This Anymore
Initial subjective impressions -- does a great job at scrubbing dust and allergens from the air. Squeaky clean. Jury’s still out on odors, can’t tell yet either way. To that end…. Pros: 1) Heavy-duty, all powder-coated steel construction. 2) Simple design. It’s got a simple mechanical switch for speed control, and a ball-bearing motor driving the impeller. 3) The filter canisters are BEEFY, also fully steel construction, with a serious gasket sealing both ends of the barrel. 4) Outside of the generous warranty period, Austin Air will repair any of their units for a $90 flat rate. 5) While the pre-filter is replaceable separately, when any part of the multi-stage filter can becomes saturated — the whole assembly needs replacing, which is fine. Austin does offer a pro-rated discount on filter replacements, so it’s hard to complain about that. 6) No stupid app, WiFi or "smart" features! It's an air-cleaner, and that's it! 7) Made in the USA. Cons: 1) Price. Despite building these with US labor, it’s hard to see how such a simple machine costs quite so much, but I digress. 2) Size. These things are about the size of a tall mini-fridge. 3) Quite loud on any setting other than low. 4) Power hungry. Final thought — it’s my understanding Austin Air has been building effectively this same machine for decades now, with only minor enhancements to the filter media package. Advancements in motor efficiency, and turbine /fan blade tech have come a long way since then. These units could easily be made quieter, and to use less power. It would be nice if Austin were to not only roll upgrades into new-build air purifiers, but offer existing owners an upgrade program as well.

Removes Pot Smoke
it actually works against pot smoke. Tried many machines that did not work. This is the only one that worked

Glad to have it.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Recommended by our long term HVAC rep. Ordered and received it quickly. The unit seems to work great, we're very happy with it. Glad to get exactly what our guy recommended.
