Dr. Brandt Drop of Strength All-Day Strengthening Serum - Enhances Skin Resilience & Provides Instant Hydration - 1.0 fl oz

I tried this first for a month finding a small bottle at Ross. Before ordering the 1oz. It rates 100/100 on the yuca app which checks for clean ingredients. My skin loves the lightweight serum. Drinks it in. I feel like it’s helping w/my 46 yr old overall appearance. I recommend if you like a water like serum. No smell, and is clean!!

It soaks in almost immediately without that greasy/oily feeling. You will notice a remarkable difference within a day or two. I use the whole line, and let’s be honest, the smell isn’t always the best but I will put up with the odd momentary medicinal smell for the results the products give me. Use this with the Age defying eye cream and facial cream. You won’t regret it!

My skin was sensitive to this “strengthening serum”My cheeks turned quite warm and red and I’m not sure why. I wouldn’t really think of this as a serum, most serums aren’t thin liquid, or at least the serums I use have a little substance or thickness to them. This was just clear and runny. I’m a skin care junkie so wanted to give it a try but not worth it due to the sensitivity.

Great Product.

This product was an "empty" for me, which is really saying something. This serum is unscented, with a thin watery consistency that quickly and easily absorbs into skin. It works very well to create a healthy and hydrated environment on your face. If you are having issues with your skin barrier this is a very solid choice. As noted in the description this can be either your serum or your "preserum" if you have other considerations. I would not recommend giving up your anti-aging serum while using this, it is meant to be used in combination with your other products, not in place of them, if you have specific skin concerns beyond your skin barrier. Trust me on this, I (a mature woman) tried using this alone and was disappointed with the results of that experiment. I can't hold it against this serum however, as that is not what it claimed to be for . . . I was just giving it a shot to see what would happen.So, whether you have overdone it with an anti-aging retinol (as was the case with me) or gone overboard with a brightening or anti-acne regimen, this will get you back on track while you take a break from those products. Of course you'll want to gradually incorporate a lighter dose of those products back into your routine, but not until you have your skin back on track.

So far, I'm happy with this serum/toner I ordered from Dr. Brandt. Called "A Drop of Strength," the product is a thin, clear liquid that is applied twice a day to the skin to boost hydration, promote skin health and radiance, and combat the effect of environmental stressors like pollution, sun exposure, stress etc. I have been using it without any issues or irritation for two weeks. I can tell that it is hydrating and soothing and hope to see more results over time.A key ingredient of this serum is arctic berry stem cell extract, also called Rubus arcticus. You can research the plant online, but it is known to have a high concentration of polyphenols, which have many beneficial effects for the body. Polyphenols are rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory. They also may reduce the risk of cancer and studies have shown they benefit the skin. In particular polyphenols help skin recover from UV radiation.This product also contains hyaluronic acid, an ingredient that promotes hydration, plumps the skin and softens fine lines.Overall, this is a good product, but I think it is overpriced for what it is. I would recommend it, especially for people concerned about pollution, UV exposure, cancer, or photo-aging.

Dr.Brandt makes some really awesome products and there are quite a few that I have in my rotation that I can’t live without. But like all brands not every product they put out is a winner. And unfortunately I’m my opinion this is one of those products.The container that this serum comes in does look nice and is definitely going for the unisex look and doesn’t look to masculine or to feminine. The drop style dispenser does work well which is always a plus.However I just don’t see or feel any sort of effects when I am using this. I have been using it twice a day everyday for just under a month and just simply don’t see any effects or results. It’s very light weight and absorbs super quickly, it also doesn’t leave your face feeling greasy or gross either which is always a plus. It has more of an essence sort of consistency to it making it super lightweight and almost water like. But it doesn’t feel like it’s even slightly hydrating my face any more than my other skin care products do. Because of this I just cant see myself buying it in the future and can’t recommend it either.
