Used this for my Dad's inurnment. Held all the ashes, He was about 160 lbs when he died. Box looks exactly like the photo. It is held together by screws, so there is no possibility of spillage once the screws are properly secured.

After much to-ing and fro-ing among the siblings it was finally determined to share the ashes between two of them. I purchased these urns for them. They are MDF with burl wood veneer or laminate. The urn was easy to access and there was room for the ashes as well as some memorabilia which were to be enclosed with the ashes. You access the interior through the bottom panel. No hardware shows on the top or sides of the urn. The screws were tiny so if you are not asking the mortuary to take care of sharing the ashes, make certain you have a small phillips head screw driver. We also added candle wax over the screws. There are round "feet" on the bottom of the urn. The weight of the box is substantial. The box comes in a paper/fabric sack inside a brown box. I had no problem adding the brass plaques to the box.I found this to be a quality urn and not different from some of those being offered by the mortuary for a substantially higher price. Do not mistake this for a solid wooden urn, it is not. It is not solid walnut, or cherry or even pine. Again, it is an MDF box with veneer or laminate of burl wood. But it is excellent urn and certainly within most people's price range.

This is such a beautiful box. The burl wood finish is so shiny and flawless. I had so many compliments about it's simple rich appearance. I put a beautiful brass and black plaque on it and it is impressive. Many talk about it not being solid wood, but that is what I like about it. My wood urns have gotten dull and even a few have what looks like watermarks. This beautiful urn always looks perfect. Cant believe what a great value. My full sized grandfather fit easily into this urn. I highly recommend this.

When my husband died our funeral director offered to sell me an urn or box for ashes, but since money was an issue he also suggested I check on Amazon. I selected this box. It was beautiful. Our funeral director ran his hands over it and said it was very lovely, and would retail at a funeral home for about $300.00. I paid $49.00, and my husband rests in peace.

Good quality, exactly what I was looking for to store my husband's cremains until we can put them in the niche at the national cemetery.

It's not real wood, but still a beautiful piece. I bought one for my uncle in Dec and same one for my husband last month.

We bought this box for my Mother because we were flying to Chicago and it was TSA approved, we did not want to spend alot because we were spreading her ashes. The box is beautiful and it fit my Mother with extra room. We had many compliments from my family members when they saw it. It does feel like plastic and at the bottom there are 4 screws so your love one will be completely sealed. We were very happy with the purchase!

It arrived when expected. It was for a loved one's ashes and the fit was perfect. This is a traumatic time and having a container that presents beautifully is so appreciated.

This is a nice quality urn for the price. My mom 's ashes fit in it perfectly. There was more room in the box so if you are worried it won't be big enough, you will have room to add a few little things in the box for burial. My mom's ashes weighed about 2.5 pounds. There is room supposedly in the large box to accommodate a 203 pound person. My mom was 70 pounds when she passed away. I would order this again. You cannot go wrong on the price. The urns that the funeral home were ridiculously priced so this was a great value. It is very sturdy and the inside is cedar lined which was also nice.

The wood, vernier, has a nice depth to it and the size of the box is reasonably roomy for its size. I have purchased another Urn, a marble piece, and although lovely was smaller than what some had said.The construction is good, MDF is a reasonable construction material and is light weight but sturdy.Really pleased with the product and although the packaging isn't overly padded it arrived without a problem. Would definitely suggest it for those looking for a simple and warm cremation Urn, would have been a lot more from the funeral home but that is another conversation.

It's peeling and I just took it put of the box I need it for my sons funeral on Saturday so I have no time to return it or order another urn in time. I'm disappointed in this urn.
