Love the variety
I like that there are different colors but the reflection is pretty subtle. I thought it will be more visible

Amazing
I didn’t think it was possible to get chrome nails at home and kept spending about 100+ dollars to get a mani pedi at the salon (since chrome is extra 15$)A lot of the instructions are hazey and I was confused but after doing many tests I can tell u how to achieve this look:1) you will need a cuticle cream if your nails are aweful like mine, rub it and push back your cuticles, file and buff your nails with a regular nail file and buffer.2) if you want to strengthen your nails use a therapy cuticle oil and massage it into your nails3) apply a good base coat, I don’t think it has to be UV, I used a strengthening one by sally hansen and let it air dry. I’m pretty terrible at getting stuff in the lines so I used polish guards so I can stay in the nails and not mess up, they work great and make sure you don’t get a sloppy outcome. I applied these after the clear base coat.4) you’ll need good UV colors, I used ”gelish” brand colors I got the red shade5) cure it in a good UV lamp ( I got one for 30$ on Amazon) for 30 seconds. Apply the clean free top coat and cure it for 30 seconds.6) apply the chrome powder of your choice rubbing it in with the eyeshadow applicator , I used the one labeled as “1”7) apply the clean free UV top coat, again, and then cure it for 30 secondsAnd you’re done!

It works!
A nail salon introduced my to "chrome" effect. They charged me 25 dollars extra. These powders are awesome. And I didn't follow instructions with the no wipe top coat! It still came out smooth. This effect was on a light purple gel color....next ill try with white...or black ....the red is more like orange but maybe one coat of that and one of the magenta will show up red....i highly recommend these powders.

Great Shiny Chrome Effect on real nails
***UPDATE***First use I gave 4 stars as on the display nails, I needed to do 2 coats to get a decent chrome effect...First use on real nails only 1 coat was needed to achieve an INCREDIBLE chrome effect. The colors I used over black (I think # 4,5,6,7) have great shine!***first impression***I dont have much experience using these chrome type powders, but got fairly decent results during testing. I hope that with practice, I can achieve results like pictured in the sales posting. My main disappointment is that on the white background, all the powders look the same. They are very nice looking pearling effect, but all 7 look the same. Maybe outside in natural sunlight that will be different? I tested at night. Now the effect on black background, decent...I did have to use 2 coats though...I used Pretty Diva No Wipe Top coat, and rubbed each on an individual nail, then applied to coat again...not happy with the effect, I re top coated, and this time only cured half time, then rubbed powder on again, applied top coat, and cured regular time...this made the chrome effect much better.I will watch YouTube videos and see what others are doing for full effect. I will continue to use as it is pretty cool!

Soft Chrome Effect
I have watched many videos on how to figure out chrome powder, but for some reason this chrome powder never gives that "wow" effect. It is pretty, especially on a white or black base, but any other color makes the chrome seem to disappear. I love the glazed look this chrome gives, but it is much less chrome than I expected.

Beautiful if you do it correctly
I love the pearl/chrome look. This is number 1 over a light pink. People saying it comes out as sparkly and not pearl-like most likely aren’t buffing enough with the small sponge brushes they come with. You have to put some effort in, not just cover the nail with the powder. The photo I posted is 6 days since I’ve done them so they seem to be holding up well. I also an alcohol wipe over the no wipe top coat before putting on the powder like another reviewer said it it seems to have worked well. Here is what I did:- base coat- gel color (optional)- gel color (optional)- top coat- alcohol wipe- power + buff- brush off excess with makeup brush (over the sink)- top coat
