Arrived bent, not magnetic so not stainless steel, probably a zinc alloy, with a silver plastic handle...But it was cheap, so.... no surprises warrantedBetter than trying to mash spuds with just a fork ;D

Great idea
Mashed potatoes very good,don't have to put a lot of pressure into it.Best washed by hand as in the dish washer the water goes down into the handle and in time goes brown.
