Top Quality and Value Epiphone SG '61
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I had a top-end Gibson for many years and really disliked it, especially for the price I paid. I can honestly say that this guitar has fewer "flaws" than my 2006 Gibson in terms of finish and attention to detail. Epiphone has come a LONG way with this new line and I'm truly impressed with the features, quality and price. The neck is thin and super fast, the sound is top quality, the finish is flawless, the frets are great, the action is nice and low and the value can't be beat. For a guy who has spent much more and could spend much more on a guitar, this is the guitar that I CHOOSE to play.

so sick!
1: gorgeous guitar2: after a good set up + (locking tuners & string butler) the tuning will stay even with weird open tunings and playing hard.3: pickups actually sound really good

Dam! Very nice
This guitar is amazing! I took it out of the box and tuned it up and it stays in tune. The sound is simply great. It looks so good. The way it feels in my hands is good as well. This is an all around great guitar. Why not use this as a gig guitar. It may not sound spot on as the Gibson SG but it sounds so close you wouldn't know the difference unless you say down and compared them.

An excellent guitar!
Love the style and look. It's relatively light compared to the Gibson original. Fret/neck took some getting used to as it is slightly different from LP model.Update:I've had it several months and must add that you need to make needed setup adjustments to the bridge for it to play properly and to stay tuned.

Beautiful guitar
I bought this for my 10 year old grandson who has been playing for about 2 years currently after a hiatus for a few years. He wanted an upgrade and had earned it. He is thrilled. He loves it! This is a beautiful guitar and was shipped promptly.
