It’s hard to overstate how good of an upgrade this is. I definitely recommend buying the programming card along with it as the throttle was backwards after correctly following the instructions provided. After 3 secs with a program card my trucks throttling in the correct direction and is incredibly potent. Note: all the other programming options were good enough stock - its drag brake was strong enough to hold my heavy scaled defender on an incline with no problem. I lowered my reverse Max. Force to 50% as a personal preference. In low gear you can expect amazing slow crawl and it maintains even power through any push, ascent and descent. In high gear it’s fast enough to catch some nice air on a good enough hill. Amazing purchase, easy install, easier setup.

Well, I have been in this hobby since I was 8 years old. I am now pushing 40. I have over 70 rc cars, and 10 planes. This is the first kit that I can actually say was worth the money, I have bought all name brand motors. There isn’t anything that compares to this. The all in one combo is nothing short of amazing. I put this on my 1/10 traxxas trx 4 sport, that has been heavily modded, and it is amazing. The ability to hold the throttle at one speed and it maintain the exact speed no matter the obstacle in the way is unbelievable. Like I said I have had all name brand motors and speed controls and nothing compares. This kit also has the ability to hold the break as soon as you let off the throttle. This also is amazing, a game changer in the crawling world to say the least. I have already recommended this kit to my crawler friends whom has also purchased and are equally as satisfied. As a life long rc enthusiast I highly recommend this kit. I honestly can tell you when you buy this kit you will be amazed at the quality and ability. I bought this kit with my hard earned money, no discount or kickbacks here, and I’m glad I did. Happy crawling guys, See you on the rocks!

In total my TRX4 Sport has had 3 motors. The stock motor, that burned out from the previous owner, the faster motor I got from Traxxas for 30ish bucks shipped that was also brushed (was really fast and fun but it slowly started to die cause I didn’t take care of it) and this one. By far the best motor out of all. This thing can LITERALLY crawl at a snails pace. It was easy to install too, just have to get the gear mesh right. It has plenty of power and torque so you will be able to go over anything and get where you want to in a hurry and the battery life doubled. I can now run this for about 2 hours instead of the 1 hour with the brushed motors. The only problem I have with it is mine runs HOT. How hot, I’m not sure because I don’t have a temp gun and I’m not gonna get one. I just know that it got wet one time and there was steam coming off it. So running it in Alabama summers (where it was over 90 for most of the day) with the stock gearing will make it hot. I have geared it down but a heat sink and fan would probably be next on my list as it has only been outside for a few minutes because I don’t want the heat to claim another motor. So until cooler weather gets here, it gets drove around inside. Apart from the heat, it’s great. I’m waiting to get a soldering iron so I can solder some Traxxas plugs and something for the lights so I got an adapter for the meantime. You also NEED the programming card or else it will go in reverse the first time you set it up. This motor makes me wish I didn’t go the cheap route and buy the one from Traxxas, and I’m happy I didn’t buy the smaller motor as this is what I wanted.

I can never say bad things about HobbyWings products. Everything that I’ve gotten from them has been high quality stuff that is super tough and durable. They are easy to install for a motor and it’s a plug and play motor. But it also leaves room for fine tuning if you have the program card so you can access its full potential. The motor’s performance is one of the best in the market and the noise it produces is so quiet when crawling but sounds good when you want to rip around as well. Super happy with this motor.

I have used this in (Qty 2) TRX4's and (Qty 2) SCX10.3. I have used Tekin, Caslte and Homes motors and esc's. This is a great option for trail rigs. If I were much more serious, I would probally look at the holmes line of motors and esc's. This is amazing and offers massive amounts power and speed. I have not tried the 1800kv, but being this offers so much power and speed, might consider it. The 2300kv is a monster. The low speed is nuts. So smooth.

Great motor/esc combo, highly recommend for sure. Great torque, great low speed control, no coging, easy to change setting with the program card(sold separately). I would definitely buy this again.

Set up the controller and never even touched any of the internal settings yet. The truck is incredible - so smooth and quiet now at slow speed. And talk about slow speed, it's never had such excellent slow speed control for rock crawling. Now I can't wait to install my lift and get the big tires on!!!

If i have said it once, I will say it again......Fusions are the LS of electric motors. If you dont know what that means, Than a fusion may not be for you. Look up the LS on the EtherNet, Than come back down to earth. I have 8 fusions for crawling of course. There quiet low rpm torque and a small foot print in your rig. Why would anybody want a BIG esc + wire mess taking up room +weight in there build. Longevity and great price with 0 problemo'z. Hobbywing fusions are world renowned for a reason. Crawlers are not made for speed races, But If you have to have 4s then i hope you like that ECS FAX MACHINE sound.... There usually noisy...... HOBBYWING fusions are the best until somebody comes up with a 2in1 outrunner. Hopefully hobbywing. I ran mine hard all summer on 95degree days w/zero issues, Nice and cold. Plus long over a hour run times on 2200 3S ZEE's FAN BOY for LIFE.......
