Salty Reef Deck Cleat Heavy Duty Polished 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel

When I received my order for 2 cleats they were mismatched, probably through no fault of the dealer as they had the same part number. I emailed the dealer and they very promptly apologized and sent out a new pair of matched cleats. The quality of the cleats seems fine and they will look good on my boat restoration.

I bought this to "anchor" a gate pull. I intend to place a 4" or 5" stainless steel ring under the center bar, then screw the anchor to the gate. It should make the gate easy to pull shut. It would also make a great drawer pull. Incidentally, the space between the base and the arm is 5/8s of an inch. It could be used as a paperweight, but it might need rubber feet to keep from sliding. It seems rather expensive, but I'd buy it again in a minute if and when I can think another use for it. Just to have it on display may be enough of a reason to buy it again.

As a boater, I would absolutely be pleased with these on the boat... good finish and stainless grade should provide years of service. However, we have put 4 of these to good use as door handles on full size double doors just off our newly remodeled kitchen (nautical decor). We searched for conventional door handles, trying to find a style that would work with the nautical decor, but were unsuccessful. These cleats were just the solution! Best of all the quality of the finish on our handles is superior to most conventional door handles, and the price was less!

This is well designed and works great for up to 5/8" dock lines. Just far enough up that it is easy to get under, but not so high everyone will be tripping over it (at least, not more than a regular cleat).

The cleat seems high quality, heavy, unblemished finish, etc., and was what I was expecting.I was attaching this to a outdoor wooden door and so I used (from Amazon) Hard-to-Find Fastener 014973474089 Phillips Flat Wood Screws, 16 x 1-1/2, Piece-50 with a zinc finish.These worked well size-wise.The seller was unhelpful in identifying good corrosion resistant screws (marine grade).

Bought 2nd cleat to match the 1st. These are so different.

It's beautiful! Very heavy and just feels like high quality hardware. I'll be ordering more to replace our existing junk.

We built a feature wall with a barn door. It came out pretty good, but needed a handle.I looked at cabinet handles at Lowes, but then thought about doors I had seen that used a cleat.This cleat is beautiful and really adds to the look of the wall and door.It works Great!
