Root pouches produce healthier, more vigorous plants, and are environmentally conscious!
Once you have discovered the benefits of planting in Root Pouches, you will never want to plant in pots again! The results are simply night and day from each other. These are available in multiple sizes and different degradable lifespans. The Browns will last for years.Root pouches are environmenatlly conscious, being manufactured BPA free and UV resistant from a primary source of discarded plastic water bottles...helping keep our landfills free of them.Plants absolutely THRIVE in fabric root pouches for the following reason:The main reason Fabric pots are so widely used is not to create a stronger pot, but to create a better pot, that provides a breathable healthy growing environment. Fabric pots, unlike traditional black plastic pots, allow water and air to flow through its structure nourishing the root of the plant. It also does not allow the plants roots to circle once they meet the resistance of the wall of the pot. Instead, through a couple of different means, the fabric causes the plant to send out new fibrous roots rather than circle and harm the plant. We use multiple sizes of this brand and they have performed flawlessly! The sizes even are available that can plant full sized trees...and down to one-gallon sizes for ornamentals.Simply an AWESOME product and exceptional peformance. We continue to purchase in many sizes! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

GREAT PRODUCT
I used them for both my tomatoes and pit plants, work very well for both. Love the super sturdy reinforced stitching on the handles very solid. Great results to both, I grew plants in conventional pots and these are going so much better. My only complaint is I bought the 5 gal u.s. I was thinking our Canadian gallons, so these are fantastic for tomatoes and smaller pit plants. If you have a sativa plant you are going to need a better bag. Great construction I believe these will last for 3 or 4 grows. As a note you need to be very careful monitoring moisture as these dry out fast, best results come by placeing them on a screen a inch from the bottom of your tray and feed from the bottom.

5 gallon is NOT for tomatoes or peppers
Bought a set of the 5 gallon ones (maybe two sets?) to use for extra tomato, pepper, and tomatillo starts we had. 5 gallon size is sturdy and fine for moving around to get sunlight or shade, which is great, but it is TOO SMALL for decent plant development for these crops. It will be fine for flowers and herbs next year, but kinda bummed we missed out on maximizing plant growth. We only used them for surplus plants, and even with watering and fertilizing and monitoring, the in-ground plants surpassed growth and productivity from the ones in these pots. Love the idea, need to tweak our execution. New buyers looking for tomato or pepper pots need 7gal +++.

Very happy, should last many years
Quite happy with these. Very sturdy. I expect they'll last at least 5 seasons. I've tried 3 other brands on Amazon and these are the best I've tried in this price range. It's the first year I'm trying grow bags for many of my vegetables instead of just in-ground. The peppers and tomatoes are doing well so far, although it is a little trickier getting the watering and fertilizing right. I'm getting a lot of blossom end rot on the early fruit. The bags try out faster, and the nutrients in the soil wash through faster. But more frequent watering and fertilizing (especially adding dissolved lime) has reduced the blossom end rot quite a bit. The plants themselves look quite good. And gardening in grow bags uses much less soil, and makes it affordable to fill them with a better quality soil mix.

Really pleased.
If you need something lightweight and moveable that can be stored flat in winter this is a great choice. I am using mine for tomatoes with 3 stakes tied together at the top and it's working well so far. My tallest tomato right now is about 30'' and it's doing great. It's possible that when it gets taller it may have issues tipping over but so far it's fine. I think next year I will probably use them more for herbs, zucchini (the zucchini I have in them this year are really happy), eggplant, etc. and focus my tomatoes in planters with heavier bases just for peace of mind. That will depend on if I face issues later in the season or if they do fine all year. They do seem to be really good for people like me who tend to overwater because of the excellent drainage but on the flip side of that if you are someone who often forgets to water you'll really need to watch out they don't get too dry.

Would Buy Again
edit 2022- I used these for 2 years and would definitely recommend.og 2020-I've had my plants in these 5gal "pots" for only a couple of weeks so far, but I love them! The handles seem sturdier than the other brand of 7 gal fabric pots I tried off of Amazon.Packed well I shipment, arrived on time... and so far, so good. My plants are thriving! I will update if I have any issues with these pots.In the photos you can differentiate the two bags by the color. This product is the brown bags.

Just got these planted.
I haven't had them a season so I can't comment on durability. This is the second brand I have tried and first impression is these aren't as sturdy as the others I have used. They also didn't seem to be as large. I will provide an update as the season progresses. The shipping was speedy and the company did send an email with information on where to get assistance if needed. Good first impression.
