Beats Amplified Flat Panels Hands Down - Luv It
The CeKay outdoor digital TV antenna with amplifier and rotor performs its primary function, TV signal reception, amazingly well. My mother recently joined the cord-cutting generation and cancelled her cable TV service, so, I installed this antenna as a birthday present. She was hoping to pick up the major networks from a town 40+/- miles away. Goal accomplished…her sister receives ~20 channels or so and is closer to the tv stations by about 5 miles, but mom gets 49 channels with this antenna! There is only a single coax cable from your TV to the antenna mast— everything goes over that cable (TV signal, rotor control and power). Due to that design, any splitters must be added to the control box output line..not the input line. All that said, there is a negative. If you need a o rotate the antenna on a regular basis, you will be sorely disappointed. There is a single button to control the antenna rotor. Unfortunately, as the manual indicates, I can attest to the non-predictable direction to which pressing the button will cause the antenna to turn. That wouldn’t be so bad if you could release the button and press again to go in the opposite direction, but that is NOT how it works! Every press causes movement in an unpredictable direction, and there is no indication to where the antenna is pointed from the control box. That said, a rotor with with those features would cost 2x the price of this package, and you’d still need an antenna and amplifier.Even so, this antenna beats all the amplified, flat-panel antennas that I tried. For that reason and its price to performance ratio, I must give it 5 / 5 stars!

Went from 25 to 65 channels!
This replaced an inexpensive antenna that didn't work very well and had plastic that disintegrated after a year or so. This one really surprised me when I opened the package. The plastic boom on the antenna seems to be quite sturdy and the case is good quality, Very easy to assemble. After putting it up at about 20 feet I was completely shocked at how well it worked. The rotator seems to work pretty well but is typical in that it flips direction every time the button is pressed. No way to tell which direction it's pointed except by looking. But I only pointed it south to favor a certain weak station and left it alone. But I was pleasantly surprised to see it picking up stations from two major cities north of us at 60 and 125 miles away clearly with no dropouts. So it isn't super directional but has a very good amplifier built in.

Yikes everybody is 'red'
It was fairly easy to put together. It was fairly easy to install. However the 'color' on my TV screen changed to a 'red' tint. So everyone/everything, had bright red faces or colors. Problem is......there was NO way to adjust the color. The menu that comes with the product's programming setup does not have a way to adjust color. I looked for other ways to adjust the color without success. Also, I only got a maximum of 5-7 channels when I scanned. So I bought a $37 digital TV converter box and then got 20 channels after I did a channel scan. But again the menu had no way to adjust the color. Still working on it. Called in an expert. Will meet with him next week.

Works good for my location and install.
I'm in SE Fresno/Clovis area. I put this in my attic space. It was tricky how I have it installed. The trusses were in the way so it took some fenagling. The room I needed it to go into (the media closet) was on the opposite side of the attic, and the 2 holes already there with cables were too full/small. I couldn't run cable down the wall and to the existing pathway the other cables ran. This was disappointing but not the antenna's fault and every install will be a different scenario. I had to drill a new hole. It is a hole in the closets ceiling, very close to the wall and runs down. I made the best of it. I didn't have to reposition once it was installed as I knew where I needed it to be aimed. Nice to have that option though. I am glad I have it inside. The metal is pretty much aluminum and the rest is plastic so its not a sturdy antenna. If you are wanting to have an outdoor mounted antenna, this may not be for you. I could see this swaying in a strong wind as it has the motor and slack to be moved remotely so there is play. This does well inside, but out of the way. Picture is good, save for one channel. I think its CBS. It is good, but sometimes it won't be there. Pic is rarely ever bad, almost always good, but sometimes the whole channel struggles. I think its the channel where I am because if it was the antenna, there would be more of a general issue, not simply with one channel. It hasn't been bad enough for me to try and turn the antenna. I was skeptical due to the seemingly flimsy nature of the antenna, but it worked out well. Now I've officially "cut the cord" and only have internet, a firestick, and this antenna. No turning back, and no regrets.

The antenna goes together very easy in less then 5 minutes and you don't need any tools at allInstalling it is very easy alsoI had my first one over 5 years without any problems at all and the only reason I put this new one up is that the seller contacted his old customers and offered a free upgrade so I took him up on the deal and two days later it arrived at my houseI have 3 friends who also use this antenna because I recommended it to themThe seller will help you out with any problems and he gets right back with you if you email him
