The Healing Garden literally arrived the day I needed it. I have studied herbalism on my own, in my own way for several years, then I got a little distracted with life.This book anchored me back to all I love.1. It's gorgeous. The photographs will keep you reaching for it again and again. They will inspire you to make new recipes and try new plantings in your garden.2. It's a heavy tome, packed with an incredible wealth of knowledge! This is not a flimsy paperback which means it is going to stand up well to lots of use and time. (Mine will be herbal tea stained before long!)3. The organization of the book allows anyone at any stage of their land loving, gardening, and herbalism process to access it and find helpful information.4. It comes with digital access to more information.This book is worth it! It is one of the very best book purchases I have made in years.

I have purchased quite a few books lately on herbalism and medicinal herbs. This one provides a lot of in-depth educational information that was lacking in some of the others. It is enjoyable reading however, not dry or boring.It has great photos so is visually appealing. It's well organized and very thorough with the plants the author chooses to focus on (about 30.) My only disappointment is I wish it had a few more of the more common plants (like rosemary.) Sure, those are covered in most of my other books but this book does it so much better! On the other hand, this book takes a deeper dive on plants we Should learn more about and for which its harder to find good info, such as Calendula and Yarrow. Overall I highly recommend this book and am very glad I bought it.
