Very happy MJ smoker
I'd like to touch on some key elements about this lighter!1. It's surprisingly heavy and has a nice feel in the hand. Construction feels really solid and the charge LED glass meets the metal housing flawlessly smooth. Not a requirement lol, but a plus. It's not too thick or too long either. I was expecting it to be more bulky because it's an electric device. Another review called it the Nokia of lighters, I can see why. lol2. ****Battery life & Charging****! Personally, I think it's awesome. It takes an hour to give it a full charge, and I've been measuring the device's battery life by the number of pre-rolls it lit before it needed another charge. It was seventeen 1G pre rolls over the course of 2 days, between 2 people, and includes re-lights, and half smoked and picked it up again. I based it just on the consumption. I think that's pretty good!HUGE MINUS - the cable is maybe 3 inches long MAYBE. It's comically tiny, and equally useless. GET ANOTHER CABLE when you order this it's a Micro USB. It's really disappointing the cable length sucks, but I have one of my own to use. The cable pack I have is Amazon item number B0B71CKL48. You can search that and check them out.3. It's generally easy to use, but it takes some getting used to. It lights pretty easily, but those 4 pointy prongs are exposed and it's easy to snag the end of a joint or cigarette and have the cherry fall out while you're trying to get it going. So be careful while you're adjusting to it! My husband doesn't seem to like it as much as I do, but I'm tired of ordering bic all the time. :)Happy camper in WA StateStay Squatchy out there.

Long charge
I love this thing. It helps when it’s windy and it’s super cute! The charge lasts a few days for me. I’ve had no problems with it so far. Works great!!!

Awesome EDC. So cool, IT MADE ME START SMOKING AGAIN! D'OH ! ! !
I got this after a friend gave me a light with his, and I was like, "What's a plasma lighter?" These things are so cool! Really, the only downside is the battery life- -which is the reason I only gave it four overall stars. As far as functionality and cool factor, it's Five+. Basically, plan to recharge it every day. Especially when you first get it, it will run out faster because you'll probably find yourself fiddling with it, and lighting it just for fun. A note on usability: unlike a normal flame lighter- -where you don't want to look straight down on it, in order not to singe your eyebrows- -with these there is very little heat beyond about a quarter of an inch away from the plasma. Since the plasma forms an X pattern, you basically want your smoke to point straight down on top of the lighter as shown in the first picture, hovering just above the plasma. It will automatically shut off after 7 seconds, but if you need more heat just release the button and press it again. It's not designed for sustained heat, so don't rinse and repeat that very many times without letting it cool down. One other side note: If you like to fiddle with things, you might find yourself opening and closing the lid- -as the lighter is pleasing to hold in the hand, and the lid is well built and it's satisfying to actuate it. Well one time I quite surprised myself by accidentally pressing the ignition button while my thumb was also up in contact with the bottom two nodes. It gave me quite a shock ( pun intended :-) and left a mark- -two little dots where the nodes were and a thin line connecting them. Now it's half a day later and I was going to take a picture of that too, but it's already gone. The plasma automatically cuts off when the lid closes, so it's actually pretty hard to have it happen. I tried for a little bit to do it again on purpose (just cuz that's how I roll :-) and haven't been able to- -so it's unlikely to happen, but worth noting. A huge plus feature that this lighter has, that my friends doesn't, is the charge indicator lights. My experience has been that the progression of use correlates well with the indication of the lights, and the battery seems to give pretty consistent performance throughout each of the four indicators. It's also nice that the last one starts blinking when the lighter is getting close to running out of juice. It charges pretty fast too - - I haven't actually timed it, but I think it only takes a couple of hours. Inevitably, future versions will have better battery life - - but these are inexpensive enough that I'll probably get a spare just in case something happens to this one. Also, since they're powered by a lithium cell they should hold a charge without use for a very long time, so the spare should be reliably fully charged.UPDATE 10/30/2020: Using a Quick Charge 18W 3A charger, I checked it after *1 hour*, and it was FULLY CHARGED!!

Slim, convenient, and easy on hands
This lighter is slim and very easy to use. I have arthritis in my hands and standard lighters and even butane lighters hurt my hands. This is perfect for me. It charges fast and the battery lasts for several days. I smoke a pack a day and have no issues with the battery. Love these.

Great gift
Got this for my husband for Christmas. He loves the design and the case it comes in. Easy to use and works as advertised.

Great, But Short Battery Life
I wanted to love this little lighter. First, it never needs filling or flints replaced. Next, it looks really nice, and I can even overlook the fact that it shows fingerprints worse than anything else I own. It's very giftable, windproof, small enough to fit in your pocket without taking up much room (or leaking like my Zippo had a bad habit of doing), etc.As much as I can tout this lighter's pros, there's a significant con that makes it quite annoying: it doesn't hold a charge for very long. I can get through a little over a pack of ciggies before this thing is down to one blue light out of four on the ol' charge indicator. For many, this probably isn't a big deal, but when I can use my cell phone for several days at a time with heavy (and I do mean HEAVY) usage and I only have to charge that every few days, why can't a little lighter, whose sole function is to create a couple little arcs of electricity, hold a charge for more than a day, at best? The charging time from zero blue lights back up to four only takes about 20-30 minutes, which is okay - but believe you me, when you're stressed and haven't had a nicotine fix in awhile and you go out to light one up and your lighter is dead, that 15 minutes can feel more like hours; and that's only if you're fortunate enough to be somewhere that you happen to have access to a USB port and have your charging cable with you...All in all, I'm not annoyed enough to return it for a refund, but I am definitely considering other options that need less-frequent charging.

Reliable and still going strong
I bought this lighter in December 2022 and it is still working great today. I use it multiple times a day and even put it through the clothes washer once.

Good option
The lighter is great. I have a phobia of fire so this is perfect for me. My only complaint is the charging cord broke within the first week of use.

Fire hazard and potential injury
I wanted to like it, I really did.But after the FIRST use of this lighter (single stick ignition), it was put back into the trouser pocket.Inside the pocket, it started to get increasingly hotter so I had to remove it. It carried on getting hotter until I could no longer hold it and had to place it onto a platform (see picture). There was a burning smell and smoke coming from the unit at this point.I left it there until it was cool enough to pick up.Naturally, it has not been able to ignite since. So - literally one ignition and no more. But it's the safety issue that concerns me the most.Could have easily burnt me or set something on fire if left unattended.Dangerous item.
