Holds a bass approximately 1000x its cost. ‘Nuff said.p.s. had a pro (don’t trust myself) mount. Used hardware supplied with product.p.p.s. I bought a second one, and installed it myself for another bass (and I can sometimes be a moron with tools). Used the included wall anchors to screw into plaster — faceplate covered any unsightly damage underneath). A week later, and it hasn’t fallen on the floor — so even an idiot can install.

These USA made wall mounts are great. I had a few String swings in the past with hardwood bases. Terrific as well. When I recently repainted my office, I wanted all mounts to match (I had a couple other types as well at the time). I also had wanted all-black with flat baseplates.Initially I foolishly went with an inexpensive Chinese-made design simply because the baseplate was shaped roughly like a guitar. Terrible decision. Cheap mounting hardware, and no guitar hung the same. All with their backs at different angles to the wall, and rarely straight vertically. A Gibson I own with the tuning pegs in the back of the headstock was particularly problematic. The tuning peg of the 1st string had nowhere to sit but right in the cradle (always out of tune), and the 6th string tuning peg scraped divots in my newly painted wall.I removed those pieces of junk and replaced them with these American made String Swings. A couple pics attached. The Gibson remains in tune and doesn’t scratch the wall. All guitars hang straight without having to adjust them. Just drop ‘em in and let the swing do its thing.Whether for a collection, or a single instrument, this is a fine USA made product I’d highly recommend.

I received 1 of these as a gift from my wife to help get some of my guitars off the floor (on stands of course). I liked it so much I ordered 3 more and decorated my home-office wall with them.Installation:The install is super easy, at minimum you will need a screw driver, at worst a small drill and stud finder. To be on the safer side I went directly into a stud for my PRS electric guitar so the weight over time wouldn't be a problem. I have a Ibanez AE18 Acoustic Electric along with an Ovation full body acoustic both of which have some weight to them. I only used the drywall anchors provided with the swing and they are rock solid and very stable. I wasn't so concerned with my Yamaha classical guitar as it is very light weight. To avoid any issues I am cautious when hanging and removing the guitars so I don't put to much pressure on the wall, not kit gloves, just cautions and aware.Hangers:The hangers (arms/hooks) are a good size and accommodate the heads of all my guitars. They are padded similar to a guitar stand neck holder and angled to support and accommodate most guitars. The only caveat is the Classical guitar. Because Classical guitars have much wider necks I have to enter the hanger sideways then turn the guitar so it lays flat against the wall. Theres no worries about damaging the guitar or anything, but its not as simple as lifting the guitar to get it out or just dropping it in. After you get the hang of it (once or twice) then its a no brainer.Overall I couldn't be happier, these are an affordable, practical solution to the clutter of multiple guitars on stands.One thing to note: Initially I planned on hanging 4 guitars on a particular section of my wall. As I was installing the hangers I tested a guitar and measured for the next hanger. I quickly realized that I did not take in account the negative space between guitars and to have it look good I have to remeasure and could only fit 3 guitars in that space. When doing multiple guitars I strongly recommend hanging your guitars after each swing installation so you can see exactly how things will look.

Very solid wall hanger! I trust this hanger with an expensive guitar. of course, you will need to mount it to a stud, so you will probably need a stud finder device. They are less than $10. I don't know if I would trust the screws that are provided, as they seem too thin for comfort. I used my own larger, thicker screws to mount it to the wall, as the mounting holes are a bit larger than the provided screw gauge. However, don't let something like screws deter you, as this is the best value and most trustworthy guitar hanger under $20. I got mine from the seller "Brooks Mays" for $8.87 + Free Shipping and no tax! It was the lowest price, and it got here fast like Amazon Prime speed! It was such a good transaction that I bought a few more from them. I bought enough to get an extra one free compared to the Amazon price and sales tax addition. I will probably stick with these forever, because I doubt I'll find a better value that I would trust to hold my very expensive and cherished guitars! Before these, I got some plastic hangers that seem nice and are holding my lightest, cheapest guitars well, but I just don't trust plastic long term, Especially with screw torque pressure applied. It will eventually crack. I suspect this metal mount could last hanging with a guitar on it for 100+ years in the proper environment! This mount hangs well too. I like it a lot. I have finally found my brand for this type of item. String Swing!!

I love these guitar hangers and have been using them for years. Currently have 4 guitars hanging on the wall with them. Nothing is perfect though and I do want to point out 2 flaws for potential buyers.1. Will not fit the neck of a 7 string or larger.2. Does not stick out far enough to accommodate an acoustic guitar properly.

Perfect, easy to fit and can withstand the weight of my v100 (weighs a ton!!). 3 out of my 4 guitars hang on these, the only reason I didn’t buy another is I have some Hercules wall mounts left over from another room.These are excellent and I would happily recommend them

suppled raw plugs for hollow walls are useless - you either need a solid wall or a batten behind. Otherwise holds up well

We purchased 3 of these for a selection of acoustic, electric guitars and a ukulele for my son's bedroom walls. They are very well made and easy to install. I would highly recommend.

Thought these were really good, didn't use the fixings as I wanted to have something fixed into the breeze block too but am sure they would have been fine

Solid hangers ... easy to install - either to solid or plasterboard walls ... Cleared a lot of floor space by getting my collection of guitars and basses off floor stands and up on to the walls ...
