I first came across this product through one of the sample packets they give out when you order from Jolse. I LOVED how my skin looked after putting it on. I look like I have glass skin! So far, so good. I will update if I see any more improvement or let downs. I have a brown skin tone and I have normal skin (not oily/dry/combo).It also came with more free samples :)

Directions say to pat on skin, which I do, and it ends up sticky, however, I use it as part of my skincare routine, so with my moisturizers, the stickiness is gone. I'm still using it to see if it's beneficial as it's hard to tell as it's part of my skincare routine. I only use 1 pump as the stickiness is a "side effect" of using this product.

I am pleased with most of the serums I get at this price point, except this one has ingredients I have never used before; I am delighted with them. VEGREEN Skin Barrier Reishi Serum has mushroom extracts, is natural, and is unscented and suitable for all skin types. This product lists as unscented. I used the two bonus packets and found them quality products. I love getting more than one skincare product from one brand, and here I can do that. There is a certain synergy when you use multiple products from a line. The scents that some might detect are not irritants or overpowering. If anything, I barely notice anything. If it exists, someone else might not even be aware of it.This product will wash off easily and is a perfect base for a good moisturizer. Good eye cream is something I need to add for my aging undereye condition. This serum and the other trial-sized products make for a moderately-priced application/gift that looks impressive in the packaging, in my opinion. I will add a bit of concealer and some soft cream foundation that blurs the lines.Enjoy!

Very gently on skin

An undercover superstar! This doesn't seem like much; it's thin and watery with no discernible smell. After just a few uses, my skin seemed happier overall. Over time the results became more noticeable. Less redness, smoother texture, no breakouts, and much less sensitivity. Two pumps spread nicely and absorb fully on my face and neck without any residue. This has not interacted with any other products I use and cannot be felt once it absorbs. After several weeks of use, I can honestly and very highly recommend this product. I cannot believe that this is under $20! I have spent 10x as much for less effective skincare. When you consider the price, this is an incredible deal.

My current routine is washing face with proteya daily revitalize wash. Use the vegreen mucin toner. Natural outcome morning or night serums. Then the vegreen mucin serum. So I wanted to use this barrier serum to add. It smells fruity but it made my face sting. It didn't cause any redness or irritation. It just stung for like a minute and went away. The discomfort is enough I won't be continuing it. The vegan mucin toner is woodsy and the mucin doesn't smell and put of those the serum is AMAZING. but unfortunately this won't be added as a continued item to my routine

I have really been loving this skin barrier reishi serum. Besides the fact that I love what reishi does for me when I ingest it, I'm fascinated by its use here (with other mushrooms and probiotics). This serum has a very light, soothing texture with a pleasant fragrance that is also very light. It spreads easily on the skin, sinking in quickly. After its use, my skin is softer and more hydrated. And because it's such a light layer, it's easy to apply the next serum over it. It layers beautifully with other skincare products. Overall, just a great serum for me so far.

Would I get it again and why: Maybe. For me personally I'm not sure mushrooms agree with my skin. For those who tolerate mushroom extracts, this is a very nice, gentle, fragrance-free non-irritating formula.Size: 1.69 oz (ounces) (50 ml)Container: It comes in an outer carton. The main container is a clear plastic bottle with a small pump top lid. It has a clear plastic small half lid (odd shape and style that's awkward) for the pump. Labeled as the inner container bottle being made of 100% recycled plasticFormula: It is a pale amber straw yellow color in the bottle. When applied it looks clear. It's a serum liquid that's medium weight. It's fairly thin but not overly watery. It's more serum than liquid and isn't a gel or lotion.-One pump was all I needed for my entire face. It spread over the skin well and sunk into the skin quickly. It did leave my skin feeling a bit sticky and tacky feeling. It's likely better as a nighttime treatment than under makeup due to the stickiness and tacky feeling on the skin.-This is a serum so the moisture level is fairly low. Only those with oily skin might find this enough moisture on it's own.-Most people will likely need or want to layer a heavier more moisturizing product over this. Remember it's a serum so you don't need to apply it thickly like a moisturizer or you are just wasting product. It's better to use less of this and apply a moisturizer over it if you need more moisture.Scent: It has no added fragrances, but did have a very mild natural scent from the ingredients. It was mild and not unpleasant and faded quickly. I would consider this safe for those sensitive to scents.Sensitive skin: It was very gentle. I had no stinging, burning, redness, or itching. You don't often see a lot of mushroom based formulas in more commonly known brands.-Vegetarian friendly-Fragrance-free with no added perfumes, fragrances, essential oils or fragrant plant oils.-Gentle, non irritating. No essential oils, irritating alcohols or fragrant plant extracts.-Very good ingredient listing that is fairly unique.-Mildly moisturizing serum.Cons:-Allergen alert: It has mushroom extracts in it, that appear to be multiple types of mushrooms.-It is not well protected from light degrading the ingredients by using a clear vs opaque non-see through bottle.-The ingredients are not printed on the bottle, only the outer container. I had to clip them off the outer container and attach them to the bottle using a clear hair elastic.Tips and Thoughts: It's a light serum with a tacky feel, you'll likely like it better when not under makeup. Most people will want to add a moisturizer over this unless your skin is very oily.Final Thoughts: I'm not sure I personally tolerate this or mushrooms. But it's a very nice, well formulated, gentle, fragrance free formula that has a good list of less common ingredients with a lot of benefit.
