(see photo). as a single person, it's probably more butter than I needed to keep soft. for a larger family, this is ideal.c) it's remarkably simple, but yes, your butter might get a little wet. small price to pay, and zero effect on your toast or pancakes. maybe just fill with less water?d) keeps butter soft and fresh. duh. change water every week or so, after doing a smell test.e) love it. highly recommend

I bought a different one that was actually more expensive but it broke. I'm glad that it did, because this one is much better! It is Easier to hold and manage (that's why the other one broke - I dropped it) and it can hold more than 1 stick of butter, so if you use butter fast you might like that. It is also easy to clean (the other had mold form in the crease around the base of the butter cup and it was really hard to remove.) I love it!

I’ve used a butter keeper like this before. I loved the one I had, but gave it to my daughter, thinking I’d get another. Fast forward a couple years. I found this as a replacement. I’ve tried filling with butter in every state except frozen, it just ends up being a large blobby butter ball floating in the water when I remove the top. I made sure the water was very cold and the kitchen is definitely not overly hot. Blobby butter ball every time. I think it might be that this butter keeper is bigger than my original one? Unfortunately there is no other possible use for the blob maker. The color is very pretty di I gave a couple stars for that.
