I would use a shallow small bowl with straight sides. fill it just to the birds shoulders or lower and gently put the water over his feathers using a cup or your hand.

To my previous answer Luis I had a large bottle (32oz) of water daily for bath time during the week for my African Grey and a (16oz) with one drop of the soap in water for his weekly bath. This soap was recommended to me by Marc Marrone the owner of Parrots of the World in Rockville Centre, NY. He is a great help with questions about all types of pets

No, the product you can spray right on and leave on is Pluck no More by Kings. I have used another spray that I like better and is less expensive than Kings, called Miracle Feather Care for birds, Feather Glo Bird Bath Spray. It is premixed and though it says to use daily, once a week is good.
