All around fantastic lens!!
I'm a wedding and event photographer. I've been shooting with Canon's 24-70mm 2.8, and recently decided to sell it and try working with the 24-105mm.I am so glad I did, and there are many reasons why! Both lenses are heavy as heck, but the 24-105 has IS which makes it far more superior in my book.I get bad camera shake after holding my camera for awhile, and the IS in this lens has helped me get sharper photos in low light situations, especially noticing this with my detail shots in dimly-lit reception areas. The IS also helps reduce vibrations when shooting from a moving car/boat.I thought I'd miss being able to shoot at f2.8, but I don't because my 24-70 wasn't wonderfully sharp wide open, while the 24-105 is amazingly sharp at f4.I love the long focal range. I pair this zoom with the 135L and feel like I can cover a lot of situations and get a great mix of photos.FInally, the best part about this lens is the price! The 24-70 is almost double the cost of this beauty.Do yourself a favor and just get this one!

Great all around lens!
While quite bulky and heavy, this is my primary / default lens now. Fast autofocus and very good image stabilization to deliver sharp pictures. It performs really well and is suitable for most situations. The maximum aperture at F4 through its whole focal range helps in low light while it also produces a nice bookeh at larger focal lengths. For those interested on this lens, be mindful of the crop factor on APS-C camera bodies - at its wider angle of view this will not get as much scene in the picture in comparison to kit-lenses starting at 18mm.In order to deliver the highest picture quality this is premium glass and build but there is a compromise in focal range: not that wider angle, not that much zoom.

Great lens
The V2 is a slightly bigger and heftier lens than the V1. A rock solid fill, the zoom ring is a bit more stiff than the V1 which should eliminate lens creap as it is carried around. The focus ring is much looser but I think smoother than the V1. Picture quality is slightly better than V1, most notably in the corners. Still lightening fast focus when mounted on my 1DX and 1DXII. Very happy with the V1 and I am sure the V2 will not disappoint.

Grat Upgrade for my 80D
I read a lot about the minimun picture quality difference upgrading from the EFS 18-135 USM kit lens to the L series when you shoot with a crop sensor.Well, I'm not the expert but this lens is amazing, focus in no time, no fear of sand, dirt or little rain, the picture quality grows a lot. Also, the focus distance indicator on the barrel is maybe the best of all because finally I can do hiperfocal and focus to infinity in 2 seconds. And also: I feel like the king of the world showing the red stripe to my friends.

I’d go with a 2.8..it’s just ok not great
I bought it for the price. I wish I had purchased another one with better Fstop. The pictures aren’t bad but I wish I weren’t to be so frugal and gone with a better lens.

Next level
Super awesome purchase. This thing is as awesome as it gets. Pricy but well worth the money. Looking forward more than ever to take my photography to the next level.

advertised as new but comes unboxed with no paperwork?
This product is advertised as new. Typically new camera equipment comes in a box and with some paperwork, some sort of instructions and something that lists a serial number. Especially Canon products. Ive owned this lens before. I do not believe that this is new. If it is, perhaps more effort to make that clear would be appreciated.

An upgrade
I upgraded my original 18-135 lens I bought seven years ago with my T3i camera. It's still a good lens but has lens creep which is really annoying and all the elements creaked and felt unstable. The new Nano USM version doesn't creep, is silent and feels very stable. I still use the old version as a backup for my T3i but use the new lens on my T7i. It was a good investment.
