I really needed these for the hood of my old school BMW...

Waste of money!
Put these in my E46 323it (for the hood) and about a week later I had to lift the hood by hand all the way up. Only thing these were good for was holding the hood up once it was extended all the way. Complete waste of money! Funny thing is I found a cheaper set for $10 that actually can lift the hood.
