Does it work well with gnats indoors?

Fungus gnats are hard bodied and this only works on soft bodied insects. You'll want diatomaceous earth and a bacterial insecticide, Bacillus thuringiensis var. Israelensis (known as B.t. H-14).

Does it work on springtails?

Hi Kassi!It should work fine. I have not had springtails but the are attracted to fungus and moist environments. Other than changing environment by drying out, that 2 cups of water and 1 tsp of dish detergent sprayed on them is enough to kill them. Good luck! Jason

In the directions: "Spray directly on pests." What if you don't know what you've got, do you blanket spray the entire rose(s) bush?

I use this on my huge spider plant(and all others) after the summer, before I bring it in for the summer. It works!!! Spray it untill the plant is dripping wet from it and then bring it in when it is dry. It does not smell and it is effective. I can not stand spiders on my ceiling in the winter that came off the plants, this takes care of them and other little ickies.
