So I bought a size large, but my fingers won’t fiT in the holes. Is this normal?

Yes. You have to largen the holes. Just get some sandpaper and sand the holes until you get the desired fit. Remember it should be a little tight around your fingers so it doesn't come off when swinging.

Any idea when size X-small (0) will be back in stock?

You can search the web and get it from gymnastics equipment retailer's

My son measures 4.5” - are there grips made for younger kids or is the xx-small okay for him

According to me it should be alright as my younger brother is also using xx-small and he is about 9 years old

How much does it weigh?

I have never seen official weight for grips. They are light and each wegits no more than 100 to 150 grams. The weight should mater at all. You need right size. The only difference in the brands.
