Pump issue
The sunscreen has a little white undertone but gets absorbed quickly and spreads on the skin beautifully. Another issue is that the pump doesn’t work well and gets stuck during pumping the product.

I Love Doctor Babor Products
Having liked several Doctor Babor products I've tried in the past, when I saw this mineral based sunscreen available from Vine, I had to have it! This review is for: DOCTOR BABOR PROTECT RX Mineral Face Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin SPF 30 - Facial Sunscreen LotionHaving developed Melasma on my face, due to a chemical sunscreen, I now only use mineral sunscreen on my face. It's difficult to find one that is sheer and doesn't leave a white case, but I hit a home-run when I requested this cream. It goes on smoothly and even though it is white, (like most zinc sunscreens), it does absorb with a minimum of rubbing. I have an olive skin tone so maybe that helps it absorb more easily? I don't really know. I do know that this does protect my face from damaging rays. It's also not drying, like many other sunscreens seem to be.The only thing I found disappointing is the fact that this is not waterproof. If you're going swimming, or even if you're going to be sweating a lot-jogging or whatever, this is most likely going to come off and need to be reapplied. For a facial sunscreen the price on this one is a bit high, even without being waterproof. Since I spend most of the summer in the pool, I'm not sure that I would buy this again. I will happily use up the rest of this tube for work days, and then I'll go from there.

Best sunscreen for my face
I have struggled for years to find a sunscreen that didn’t cause breakouts on my face. I have been using this daily for about 6 months without any irritation. It does have an odd sort of chemical smell, but I prefer that to weird fragrances. There is no white cast and it wear well on its own or under foundation.

Leaves a white cast
I love Doctor Babor products and I was excited to try the sunscreen. Unfortunately, the sunscreen left a white cast. Even though I rubbed it in and waited 30 minutes before leaving the house to apply, it was still noticeable.

Irritates my eyes and leaves a white cast
Unfortunately this sunscreen didn't work for me or my kids. It really irritated all of our eyes when applied to our cheekbones (I even tried to avoid the eye area.) For me, it resulted in a day of eye-watering pain, which led to all of the sunscreen being wiped off by my tears, which caused a sun BURN. I will say that this is not irritating to my neck and chest, but it does leave a slight white cast (as most mineral sunscreens do.)

I like this one
I prefer mineral sunscreens over chemical ones, they seem to work better for me. I like this one, even though there is a VERY slight white cast. Not really noticeable if I put a light dusting of a bronzer over it. This one isn't sticky and feels good on my face and does a SUPERB job of keeping my fair/cool skin from burning, even if I'm spending a lot of time by the lake.

Leaves white film, otherwise it’s great
I love the way this mineral face cream applies and feels on my skin. There is no sun screen odor at all with this. My skin feels like it was almost given a beauty treatment when I wear this, my face feels so soft and not at all greasy. The only thing I don’t like is that is leaves my skin with a white film on it, no matter how much I rub in and little I use. I am very fair skinned as well.

Great For My Sensitive/Dry Skin, No Fragrance Or Odor, No White Cast, Pleasing Feel, Effective
This DOCTOR BABOR PROTECT RX Mineral Sunscreen (SPF 30) is aesthetically pleasing especially for a mineral based zinc oxide sunscreen, which I prefer to chemical sunscreen as chemical sunscreens are still under further FDA study. This agrees well with my dry, sensitive skin as I don’t get any irritation or dryness. This is creamy yet lightweight, and it lacks fragrance and has no smell at all.I primarily apply this to my face, neck and chest as my last step before makeup and have also been using it on the back of my hands and arms before I leave the house. This sunscreen spreads easily, absorbs quickly and disappears into my skin almost instantly. I do have light skin with an olive hue. I’m pale and don’t tan myself, and I don’t get any white cast at all. This isn’t greasy and has a matte finish on me. It’s so easy to blend, good under my makeup, feels weightless and comfortable on my skin and is effective in that I haven’t gotten a burn or any color. This isn’t waterproof so it’s not what I’d suggest for swimming, rigorous outdoor work or exercise and so on. But it works great for me on a typical day when I’m in and out of the sun.I avoid certain ingredients in sunscreen and don’t see any of those listed in this sunscreen (e.g., drying alcohol, retinol, fragrance, etc.), but I’m not an expert and we don’t all have the same allergies or ingredient concerns. So I’m posting the ingredients from the box as currently only “key ingredients” are listed on this page and the Babor site :( That aside, this is one of my favorite daily sunscreens. 5 stars.
