Redington Fly Fishing Field Kit, Fly Rod and Reel Combo Starter Kit, Line and Carrying Case Included

Several years ago I bought a Reddington Crosswater combo because I didn’t want to spend $$$ on an 8 weight that I would seldom use, but I was so pleased with it, I use it more often than I ever thought I would. I had in mind to upgrade to a “better” rod one day, but it hasn’t happened yet. So when I decided to buy a Spey rod for trout I got this 4 wt combo. Arguably the rod, and line (Rio Trout Spey) are worth the asking price, you will likely want to upgrade the reel, although it is serviceable, the case is nice looking and sturdy, comes with a couple of leaders. You could pull this out of the box, tie on a fly, and hit the water.

This is a review of the Redington 4 weight trout spey field kit. Just add a fly and fisherman and it’s ready to fish! This is a super value - a high quality and high performing rod (with a lifetime warranty), a high performance reel, a high quality use-specific fly line (mad by Rio) and attached leader, all housed in a reel-on rod case. This kit is truly a high value outfit from a company (Redington) known to offer quality products. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!!!

The price was unbelievable, but this is also a great mini-spey rod. Reddington fills that niche for those of us who can't afford the big guys, but need something of decent quality.

First, I got this kit for 180 bucks, shipped... for that price this far exceeded 5 stars. The rod itself is worth more than that! For the original price of 500. 3.5 stars. The rod and line are fantastic, even ignoring the price. The reel is plenty good. Some others commented that its gritty feeling, mine is not. Its buttery smooth. The line casts like a dream, even chucking some sizeable #4 streamers. For 500+ bucks msrp, you'd save 5 dollars over what you'd pay buying it all individually.. my only worry is if I have to try to warranty it, we'll see. But, at the discounted price.. its an easy no brainer. Get it. It is is a redington wrangler kit (same rod blank) but with a better reel,and better line.

Absolutely killer euro nymph rod for the money. The reel itself is worth $120 and I got the whole kit for $180. Euro is so effective. First day out dead of winter caught two nice rainbows when streamers, rooster tails and indicator jumping wasn’t working.

I’ve had this rod for less than a year, and it snapped in half during a cast, breaking above the joint. Thinking that this would be covered by the “warranty” I sent it in to Redington aka Far Bank in Washington state, at my own expense. It took them about three whole seconds to determine that this was NOT covered by the fallacy of a warranty. For the low, low price of $50 I can get a new rod. Speaking with their customer service rep, it was related to me that this is the second most often issue with their rods, and it’s because I somehow damaged it. They could not substantiate that claim. I paid for the replacement, under protest, as I really didn’t want to piss away my initial investment of $300. I will NEVER purchase, nor recommend ANY of their products due to the joke of a “warranty”. DO NOT buy this, as it’s sure to break and you’re on the hook. Redington is associated with Sage and Rio. Never shall a dime of my money flow to those companies ever again.

#4表示ですが振った感じは#5に近いかなと思います 付属品ラインを活用してますがひと振りで３０ｙ近くは飛びました ４０cm程のレインボーも心地よくロッドが曲がります しっかりした造りで本当にこの値段?と思うほどです 付属ティップは10ｆ T8シンク5:5が１本ですが全てが有ると200%満足でした 購入時は国内で一番の低価格でした 唯一残念な事とすれば出荷期間は約２ヶ月要しました

Cannot be better, 1 star missing as it is not coming with a bag for the reel if you need to swap with another one.
