These actually work
I'm only 5' tall, a little overweight, 67 years old with osteoporosis and live in a 3d floor walk up--lots of stairs. I bought a new countertop convection oven and had to get it up all those damn stairs but could not even lift the box, the box was more than half my height too. My brawny friends and relatives all live out of town so I didn't want to ask them just to come in to carry this thing up the stairs for me. So, I bought these straps. I didn't want the ones that go over your forearms because all I needed way to have my bones snap in half. As a younger person, I was able to carry stuff up on my back or on my head but this box was too big and unweildy. After spending about an hour trying to figure out how to put the straps onto the box (and then taking an hour break too sooth my rattled disposition), I did carry it up, had to do some dance steps around the tight turns but I did it! Of course, the box is now sitting in my hallway, with the straps still on it because my old convection oven hasn't given up the ghost quite yet (only a few more heating coils are functional though) and I don't know what to do with the old one once it dies. But these straps really work. I had no problems with unravelings or whatever some of the other reviewers said. Not sure I'd want to try lifting a piano or refrigerator though, even if the straps could handle it (I probably can't). Hmm, I am also a petitely built female so those straps were a little iffy on my shoulders, I could have used a strap going across my chest to keep the straps from sliding off--but I suppose I could just rope them on me, or maybe I'll never have to get anything large and heavy ever again. I hate it when my stuff dies on me, it REALLY ought to last forever.

I used it as a set of handles for a 60-lb box that was too big for my arms
I had a 60-lb air conditioner in a box. The box was too big to put my arms around it and pick it up or carry it by myself. And I had to go up stairs!I got this set of straps thinking that I might be able to carry the AC box on my back. The 60 lb load on my back would have been dangerously unbalanced on a flight of stairs. So, I used the straps in a different way. I wrapped them around the box. I held the loops (tightly!) with my hands while also looping my forearms through the belts. (I was holding the straps with both my hands and my forearms.) It wasn't easy, but I was never in danger of dropping it or falling with it.My arms are more like noodles than telephone poles and I was able to use these straps to carry a poorly balanced 60-lb air conditioner box up a flight of stairs without damaging anything or hurting myself. The ArtiGifts straps saved the day.

Simple and effective
I ordered these to wrap around my computer so I can take it to get serviced/maintenance and while a bit tricky it worked like a charm

It works to a certain extent
Used it to move my daughter’s dorm fridge up three flights of stairs. The straps move. You have to ensure that the clips are locked in but you need to use a cross strap in order to avoid slippage.

Helps carrying heavy/big items
I got this to move a large tv by myself when moving apartments. It definitely did the job and made carrying the tv by myself so much easier. It was a little weird trying to pick the tv up on my back from a kneeling position to standing with the straps, but I made it work. Glad I have these now, just in case I need to move something big or heavy by myself.

DANGEROUS! Does NOT let you move heavy things
This device is good for moving very large objects that you would not otherwise be able to get your arms around. However, don't expect to be able to lift very much weight. The photos of normal sized dudes carrying appliances are BS - and dangerous, if you actually tried to do that! The straps are narrow, and poorly padded. When I used this to lift our dryer - successfully, but only barely - it left pressure bruises on my shoulders. But the main problem is just physics. To lift something, you need to push through the COMBINED center of mass of your body and the thing you are trying to lift. When that thing is strapped to your back, and heavy, it becomes nearly impossible to "load up" and get your feet under yourself. If you try and fail, you will probably wind up getting hurt.I'm 6'4" and 300 lbs - I'm a big dude, and unusually strong. I absolutely could NOT lift anything heavier than the dryer - and even that was dangerous, and I had a spotter. Do NOT believe the photos showing someone carrying around a refrigerator with this thing.

Good for medium to medium large, sized appliances
My husband got this to use for moving some things around when he does not have help.It comes with two straps. He said they are well made. The hardware is good quality. They lock and hold well.He said the padding on the straps is enough to keep it from cutting in.He said it was fairly comfortable to hold and carry an efficiency refrigerator, but he would not try and use these to carry a full size refrigerator on his own.He also used it to carry and move an all in one washer dryer combo and said it was much easier to move it alone that he thought with these.I would buy these again.

Overpriced
Got took $$ wise. There are the same or similar advertised elsewhere, at much cheaper prices, but alas, I didn't find them until I had already ordered these. They are quite simply straps. Canvas straps. I am certain that they will do what they are supposed to as they are sturdy, but I'm still upset that I overpaid for straps, simply straps. I never forget, so I will be upset forever.

Peccato.
